Tents, Cuise, and Beach - nothing else needed for ultimate relaxation

We visited in February 2017 for an entire and loved everything about this property. We stayed in a beach front tent but calling it a tent does not do it justice. It's a comfortable hotel room with soft sides, wonderfully open feel, and protection from all the elements. It rained one day of our stay and the canopy over everything ensured we were as dry as in a regular room. Really the elements played no part in our comfort as the tents are so incredibly well designed. The front porch is covered from the sun and gives a terrific place for lounging. The bed and sofa are comfortable and the mosquito net, although not really needed, ensured that no bugs entered our sleeping area. We really didn't have any in the tent at any time. The bathrooms are updated with new, high quality fixtures that you'd expect in any quality hotel. The showers offered ample hot water and the waterfall head ensured all the water you'd need. There is a small connected walkway between the tent and the bathroom and this private walk gave us a good place to dry towels, swimsuits, etc. Each tent has ample drawers and closet for hanging clothes.Lighting is excellent. The tent buttons up tight with a framed, locking front door so there is no problem anything getting in. There is no TV or radio in the tent so if you want electronic entertainment make sure to bring it. We did not have Wifi in our tent but it was always available in the restaurant/lounge area. The restaurant and bar offered a lot of food choices and we enjoyed every meal. While food costs a bit more everywhere on Anegada we felt the restaurant offered good value comparatively speaking. Drinks were well crafted with no attempt to water them down. All the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to guests, a real highlight to our trip.We wanted to rent a car and staff arranged it and had it delivered right to the hotel (they picked it up, too). The ocean here is lovely with lots of room to walk in either direction. We've traveled to a dozen Caribbean islands and find that Anegada is uniquely different from them all. If you love beach and water you really cannot go wrong here. On the other hand if you like to be entertained and need a variety of activities you may want to stay here only 2-3 days.

5 day stay for friend's wedding

Most welcoming, friendly people on any island, with great accomodations, delectable restaurant with awesome fresh lobster & bar with tasty drinks. Exquisite beaches, reefs & views. Beautiful beach with daily breeze, even in July. Snorkling in reef closeby: lobsters, beautiful fish, baby sea turtles, starfish, a couple of small sharks. Yes, you do need bug repellant, not on the beach, but by hotel & in town.

I can't say enough about the staff. Exceptional people responding to your every need & offering what you don't need! We arrived late. Bread (Bred sp?) picked us up from the puddle jumper, which arrived late. Loading our luggage, the mosquitos were attacking 20-30 at a time (away from beeach breeze). As he loaded our luggage, he handed us a large can of Repel, knowing ours wa in our bags. Instant relief! We arrived at the Anegada Beach Club office & .....was waiting to get us settled in our rooms, past her shift, but knowing our flight was late. Delightful, helpful & friendly, she ...... She made sure the restaurant & bar stayed open longer than normal to accomaodate our delayed arrival. Wow, I had a BLLT off the casual menu that night.

The next am, everyone at the hotel, knew me (& all of our group) by 1st name, maids, bartenders, managers, chefs, etc. "Good Morning Julie, How are you?!

The beach was pristene, clear water, reefs close by; weather was perfect: it sprinkled twice for 15 min over 5 days. Ther were shaded areas with tabes & froms available for anyone who wanted the reprieve. Beatiful walks, sunsets, coral & conchs on the beach. Who could want more?

I intended to post reviews immediately after returning home. I was busy & procrasinated, but didn't forget. Now, I'm extremely concerned about the residents of Anegada & all of the BVI. My prayers & love are with you, hoping that you & your families are safe. Benji, you know I was joking, but you should have come back with me!

Wow

Anegada is such a beautiful unspoilt island. The beach club is a fantastic venue. The restaurant is outside in the sand but sheltered behind the sand dunes next to the swimming pool. Food was tasty and there was a good choice. The drinks were good too.
There is a second bar closer to the sea.
The hotel has several beautiful safari tents next to the beach. Although we didn't stay (we arrived by Yacht) we were shown around the tents and they are truly stunning! Very comfortable and beautifully decorated.
The beach is totally unspoilt and surrounded by a reef so very calm inside the reef making it a great spot for kitesurfing.
Would love to return.

Unforgettable Experience

If you want to go to Anegada this is the best place to stay at. It gave me everything I wanted for my birthday which was beauty, relaxation and solitude. The accommodations were perfect, food was satisfactory, and the staff was very nice. I highly recommend the Beach Club especially if you want to experience 'Glamping' which makes me want to visit again in the near future.

Must visit if in BVI's

We visited Anegada on a day trip while cruising the BVI's for the week. Jaime and her staff....Kasha, Colleen and Bread were fabulous. Bread picked us up and transported to the resort in an open air pickup. The beach was great and then dinner was the best. Lobster tails as big as your head and grilled to perfection . Kasha and Colleen were on point and it was evident they enjoyed their positions. Well done team. We will return!
