Great Village Pub

Visited here twice over a long weekend staying near by, would have visited more if staying longer. Had a nice meal, staff and beer superb, nice village setting next to the church, and really friendly atmosphere.
A Secret Gem

The Drewe Arms might seem a little off the beaten track in rural Devon but actually very easy to reach from the A30, main route to Cornwall. Treat yourself to a reshreshing change from the usual tourist traps and enjoy a warm welcome from the lovely staff, with a well stocked bar and locally sourced food cooked fresh to your taste, it's well worth the visit.

I have been in this pub many times over the past ten years and still love it. The history of the pub going back to when it was owned and run by Aunt Mabel is fascinating and old photos of her are still kept on the walls. The food is of a very good standard and there is a function room at the back of the pub. I love it when you ask for cider and are then asked "flat or fizzy"? The pub has a lovely charm about it.
The Drewe Arms, a diamond in Devon

We called for dinner and went back several times whilst staying locally, fishing. The food was excellent, the atmosphere exactly what you need from a sleepy Devon Pub. Gary the landlord was the perfect host and went out of his way to accommodate us, and I thank him very much for his efforts. He has such an interest in the history of the place and the village that his offer of a local history lesson must not be missed.
I will be returning with my wife and family for a stay later in the year and would recommend that if you are in the area, you do the same. I am so impressed to find such a gem that I want to shout it from the roof tops. Thank you Gary and your staff, the Wigan posse will return. Darren Wrudd

Stayed one night here and will definitely be going back. Lovely pub, Gary the Landlord couldn't have been more welcoming. Lovely walks around Castle Drogo and Fingle Bridge.. Going back in May for their music festival.
