Not value for money, poor service

On our arrival at hostel anibal it looked OK. the pool and bar area is quite nice. But getting to our room on 2nd floor (€110 per night, no lifts) it was very small for a twin, but still ok. But it was hot, there's no air con or fan in the room. I went to ask about it, fan hire is an extra €6 per night, the money safe was another €3 per night. Pretty outrageous I thought. The bathroom was small with a bath with shower unit over it. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The Internet did not work anywhere, 1 guests had paid for Internet in his room which was €25 for the week, it didn't work and they wouldn't give him his money back. The bar at pool is expensive, cans of strongbow €4,they are €1.25 in the spar shop on nearby main road. No outside food or drink allowed by pool. So a bit of a rip off. Pool only open at 9am, strictly. Then a guy came to clean it at 1pmand made everyone get out for 20mins,why not clean pool before 9am? most staff in the hotel don't speak much English leading to a few misunderstandings.
About 10 minutes walk to san antonio bay promanade, then about another 15 mins walk to the roundabout in town centre.
All in all, an ok place but overpriced, id be happy if it was €50 or €60 a night with fan and safety box included.
(PS don't bother taking a day trip to the hippy market, it's just an overcrowded & overpriced tourist trap.)

Really Pleasantly Surprised!

My boyfriend booked a last minute trip for us and after reading reviews of Hostal Anibal I really wasn't expecting much (we were planning on doing a few really big nights and being out during the days so I wasn't too bothered). I was so pleasantly surprised when we got there! The room was spacious, decent en suite, good pool with music and a good little cafe there. We arrived at about 3am and were checked in quickly, with a smile from reception. The rooms are turned down everyday and the hotel staff are friendly - not funny about you coming in at weird hours if you go out and they'll keep your key there for you. It's just a 10-15 minute walk from the main San Antonio strip which is great! 20 minute taxi to Playa D'en Bossa if you're going out.
We also hired a little car to go exploring one of the days and the reception staff were so friendly and helpful, they got us the cheapest car rental and took the time to suggest different areas for us to explore and things to do after giving us a map. I don't get where the negative reviews are coming from? It's a 2 star hotel people, if you set your expectations as such you will be just as pleasantly surprised as I was :)

It's a great place to stay if your there for the night life and events! The staff were incredible helpful and so nice, everything was also so clean! The pool was lovely and the food wasn't too bad either. It's located so close to the west end strip about a 10/15 min walk.
HOWEVER they only allow guests to check in and check out between certain hours! My flight back home was at 10, so I had to sign out the day before and sleep in reception!! Considering the reception is 24/7 it was ridiculous!!! Another guest got to the hotel at 3am and wasn't allowed the check in till 9am!!!

I booked this as an inexpensive long weekend getaway for my boyfriend and myself. I had no expectations as the price we paid was so little that I really couldn't expect much.

When we arrived we were absolutely delighted with the clean and spacious room. We only had to pay an extra €6 a night for air con and it was very worth it.

The pool area was clean and chilled and they played some good music throughout the day.

Our friends who stayed directly in San Antonio were also very impressed in comparison to their grubby accommodation.

I have stayed in many hotels in Ibiza and for the price, I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a week and found everything brilliant. Lovely staff, great rooms and fabulous pool. Everything you needed for an Ibiza holiday! Would highly recommend and would use the same hotel if I was returning. Thank you!
