What People are saying

A fantastic experience - excellent value for money

teenateenaon 18/07/2016 11:28

I have just spent 10 days at Anjayu Villas and had a wonderful experience.
I was looked after well, and feel relaxed, lighter and healthier from the experience.
Dr Wita and Dr Male ensured that their well trained therapists gave me a carefully thought out range of daily treatments to suit their diagnosis. The treatments were fantastic, each day lasted at least 2 hours.
The food is delicious, the accommodation is simple but very clean and comfortable and the service attentive.
The setting is gorgeous, a sea view and green grounds including swimming pool.
I would definitely go back- and advise others to go to this resort.
Thank you for you hospitality.
I hope to see you again 😊

The best gift I have ever given myself.

For too long I have travelled to some beautiful locations with others. This time I needed to pamper myself so stayed here on my own for two wholesome weeks where I simply rested, relaxed and enjoyed the hospitality of all staff members who were all trained in Ayurvedic principals. This is the place to stay if you need to de-stress.

A nice stay

We stayed in this ayurvedic villa for 8 days. Although it is a very short time for ayurvedic treatment, nevertheless the experience was very nice. It is a small and simple place with not too many visitors which makes it personal and cosy. Dr. Witha and his Wife put a lot of effort and personal attention and took a very good care of us. The food was vegetarian and delicious. The beach is just next door and the ocean was warm to swim. We enjoyed it every day!

Excellent Ayurveda Resort

For those of you who are looking for an excellent price for money ayurveda resort, the Anjayu Villa is the perfect destination.
It's a nice small property (only 10 rooms) next to the beach but fortunately without all the "entertainment" provided by young men looking for "company".
The food is absolutely delicious . That makes it a bit challenging if you want to loose weight :-)
And Dr. Vita, his wife Mali and all the therapists are doing a fantastic job with their treatments.
I have been 12 times to Sri Lanka, but out of all Ayurveda Resorts this was the best value for money.

An ok experience overall

I spent 3 weeks at Anjayu Villa and overall can say that I was pleased with the experience, although there were some things that I wasn't too happy with.

I would recommend this place for somebody who is looking at a first Ayurveda experience. The treatments are great and the food is just delicious. The initial doctor's consultation was ok but there is no privacy and sometimes people's conditions are discussed at table. There is no personalised meal plan and for me this was the biggest disappointment.

I selected this resort for it's size as I wanted peace and quiet. The room I had was spacious and comfortable for this category of hotel. Do not expect luxury as this resort is not that. When I was there, some construction was going on which meant bathing in front of the workers was not comfortable.

The overall cleanliness was not very satisfactory. The rooms were cleaned daily but there were a lot of insects in the room. The towels sometimes had lots of hairs on them and this was not very nice. Due to the use of oil in the treatments, those towels were also stained.

The pool is a nice addition to the resort as the time I went was not suitable for swimming in the ocean. Whilst I was there a couple of half day or full day trips were booked with the other guests and these were a fun addition to my stay as there is not much to do around the resort itself - the town, Wadduwa is not geared up for tourists really.

Internet connection is available in the rooms and this was an important point for me when selecting which resort to stay at. Airport pick up was provided and this was good.
