Great Hotel
Z3481BXchrisgon 22/08/2017 00:25Stayed there for one night. I stay in hotels about a couple dozen times a year for about 3-4 days each stay, so I see a few different ones. The Regent was definitely one of the cleanest i've been in, and the maintenance was top notch. Many hotels will "remodel" rooms but the workmanship is shotty, at best; paint brush marks on them molding, cault smeared in the bathroom, old molding or old corner pieces that have been painted over for the last 20 years...etc etc....The Regent is nothing like that.
The room was very nice, looked like it was either completely remodeled or kept up by a maintenance staff that was very good at what they do. The small things were all nicely in order, no loose faucets, shower head was nice and tight, clean all the way around. The door locks were secured with thick screws that actually penetrated the door frame and not just the door trim (that effectively makes the lock useless), bed was clean underneath, carpets were clean behind nightstands....etc list goes on.
Breakfast was pretty good, nice selection with good hot food: eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Tasty for quick hotel continental food. Coffee was not great, but that's more personal preference than an actual issue.
The bed was the only thing that was less than good. Was not very comfortable and was very hard. Could have been just me, but I did not sleep well. Still, beds are finicky, especially for different people and preferences. For me, it was too stiff.
Bottom line, the hotel was clean, maintenance was up to par, and the food was good. Great place to stay, right off 23. All kinds of restaurants right around the corner, and being about 3 miles from downtown Ypsilanti, you've got plenty of entertainment. Highly recommend this over any big name chain hotel like Holiday Inn.

lorilM1375OYon 20/08/2017 23:19We made a last minute reservation here. Nice location. Several choices of breakfast and dinner options within walking distance. Free breakfast at hotel was well done - and fresh. Rooms are nice and clean.
Always a great place to stay in Ann Arbor
southernniteson 19/08/2017 01:07Having stayed at many other hotels in AA over the years, hands down this is the best place for the buck. Our whole extended family highly recommends the Regent. Always clean, always polite and helpful staff and a decent breakfast to start your day.
My stay at the Regent
W4351FVjohnson 17/08/2017 21:17All went well. only issue was the air conditioner which needs repair.rm 4100. It kept cycling on and off, changed speed indiscriminately.
I really appreciated the front desk who found us a room close to the door and on the first floor. It took a while but she found it.
I was disappointed that the room costs vary dramatically from one day to another. the weekend was 50 dollars higher than Friday's rate ,but the hotel was not full or near full on Saturday. I do use the hotel and will continue to do so.
Great Value, Clean, Quiet
Joseph Von 14/08/2017 20:18A delightful surprise. We thought for sure we would be in a rather drab-by-the-interstate place, and have to put up with highway noise, etc. Not so. Convenient location to highways, not too far from downtown Ann Arbor, and a lovely, quiet, clean, comfortable room
