What People are saying

Perfect!

lauren won 29/08/2017 16:52

Just an amazing little place. The staff make this hotel so amazing. We were a family with a 1 year old and they couldn't have been more accommodating. It is no wonder why people keep coming back to this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area is lovely and the owners are just amazing. Definitely recommend and will return. Thank you for making our first family holiday with our baby girl so perfect!!

What a beautiful place

We have just come back from Lourdas and we enjoyed every minute in this hotel. We visit different islands every year and this is by far our favourite hotel. The staff were amazing, both helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and the rooms were excellent. The bathroom was a beautiful wash room. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just Smashing!

There is probably not much more I can say than those comments before me. This was a lovely find. 20 rooms in total with a really nice feel to the place. Jenny (not correct spelling I'm sure!) and Greggory are fantastic hosts. They clearly work very hard to make your stay as great as possible. Dora who looks after your rooms always leaves your room lovely and clean.

The two chaps that look after the bar both called Christos are really helpful and nice guys.

Jenny, Greggory and Christos '2' (who covers the bar at night) also are patient when inconsiderate people stay at the bar until 3pm on occasion...sorry folks!

Pool area is great and the actual pool was a good size. Lots of tavernas close by and you must visit the Souvlaki House!

Really enjoyed our stay and thank the team at Maria Anna for looking after us.

We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent Maria Anna

We stayed end of June along with out daughter, her husband and baby grand daughter.
I cant speak highly enough of Jenny and Gregory and their wonderful hotel. Everything everyone else has said is completely true. Gregor is an excellent cook ( we had our best meal by far at their BBQ night).
The only reason we would go back to Loudas would be to stay here as the resort itself, bars , tavernas etc were not really as good as most Greek resorts we have stayed in. It was very much a watered down greek experience. No particular great restaurant or food unfortunately.
Saying that , if you hire a car and explore you do get a great taste of what this stunning Island has to offer.

Little gem of a place

We have just returned from a week's stay at this little gem of a place. The staff here and Jenny & Gregory are so friendly and cannot do enough for you to make your stay great. Complex is very clean. Decent sized pool area and wonderful view. Enough sunbeds to go round, even in peak season. Many people were returning from previous visits, so I think we were quite lucky to get a booking in peak season. The pool area is very friendly and as it's only a small complex, everybody says hello and has a little chat.

We only ate at the pool bar for lunch on the last day (mostly due to being out and about) and this was a big mistake - the food was the best I had all holiday and I was gutted I only got to eat it once. We did have quite a small room , but it did have a big balcony and even though we were one of the few facing the back, we also had a sea view from the side. Only 3 rooms face away from the beautiful sea view. We also showered in another room on our last day and this was for 3 people and much bigger. Even so, the size of our room does not put me off this place one bit. The breakfast was lovely - choice of fried eggs and bacon, omelette and bacon, boiled eggs, cereal or greek yogurt with honey. All came with toast, tea, coffee and orange juice. You can have a full english for 3 euro's extra which we had one day and was huge. Most days we had the normal breakfast and this was more than adequate to set us up for the day.

The complete is just off of the main road, but it is quite a short, but steep walk up to the main road. I would not say the resort of Lourdata is suitable for anybody with mobility issues. The main walk down to Lourdas beach is about 2km, with restaurants along the way. Lovely downhill stroll with phenomenal views. However remember you have to walk back up this (or get the bus for 1.50 euro's each). We walked, as consider ourselves quite fit, but it was tiring in the heat. We ended up stopping at a great little bar (Bar 360) on the way up for a beer and to sit on their roof terrace to take in the view. Lourdas beach has sunbeds to rent but also space for towels to go down. A few bars and restaurants along the front. We also took the 'shorter' route one day to Kanali beach down the hill from the hotel and then a 'path'. This was very very steep and the path had handrails along the way. I wore my trainers for this and was glad I was not in flip flops. Views on the way down spectacular. This beach is very quite, but stunning. Remember to take water etc as the nearest beach with facilities is about 15 minutes walk away. Oh and off to the left handside is a nudist beach, so just be aware. Not a problem for us and they was very discrete about it.

We hired a car for £195 euro's for 3 days. There were cheaper places, but the one we used was recommended by Olympic Holidays and had no deposit or excess, unlike all the others. We spend three days travelling around the island, visiting sites such as Myrtle beach (stunning), Assos beach (a little disappointing and very very busy), Argostoli, and smaller beaches around the island. We also drove to the caves and the lake. Everything well signposted, but the mountain roads are quite scary to drive. We did this instead of the excessively overpriced Olympic trips and felt this option gave us much more freedom - I would really recommend getting a car.

As the hotel is at the top of Lourdata resort we stuck to these restaurants in the evening - went to a different one each night. I would recommend Souvlaki house - portions massive and reasonably priced. We also went to the Olive Lounge, but had to book 2 days in advance to get a table. Overall all of the restaurants were fairly similar in quality, price and menu choices.

Overall I would really recommend this hotel to stay.
