Anniversary Inn Regulars
GOAMY2PARADISEon 25/07/2017 02:36My husband and I have stayed in 5 different rooms at this location. Over the years the rooms could use some refurbishing. Our bed in the Treasure Island Suite needed to be replaced five years ago. We didn't sleep well because it was so bad. Something gross happened in our tub. We turned on our jets and a hairball came shooting out. That ruined the mood pretty fast and was a waist of a bath bomb. Besides that we had a lovely time. Breakfast is always a treat and the receptionists were extra helpful this time.
Whimsical and romantic
451Disneylandon 13/07/2017 00:33We stayed in the Romeo Retreat. It was a very large room. It had very fun decorations and a huge king size bed. We got the date night package which included a choice of candy and soda along with a big bucket of freshly popped popcorn. They served it all so cute, with fun papers and napkins. Delivered to our door after we called down to let them know it was movie time. The rooms are very quiet and you can adjust the light levels as you wish, both with the window blinds and the dimmers on the lights. There is a very large jetted tub and then a separate room for the other necessities. There is not a shower. Also there are no elevators so you do need to be able to manage stairs or make sure you're booking a ground level room. The morning breakfast was excellent, we had the parfait and frittata, both really good. They offer DVD for free and they have direct TV. Overall a great trip we thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh yes, they do also have covered parking, that it locked after 10, (I think) so your car is pretty safe for downtown.
A wonderful getaway!
Lisa Kon 03/04/2017 18:19We needed a quick over-night getaway and really enjoyed our night in the Tuscany Suite. The service was friendly. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I appreciated that there was plenty of hot water for the giant jetted tub although the shower the next morning (while hot) wasn't quite the "rain shower shower head" I am used to...it still got the job done.
The complimentary cheesecake was nice as was the chilled sparkling cider (even though we didn't choose to drink it). The bed was comfortable as were the pillows.
Any negatives? Nothing serious...our "old" eyes had a hard time seeing across the room to the tv and the lighting at the bathroom mirror could be improved for putting on makeup.
It would be nice to have an extra hook for towels/clothes in the bathroom. I really appreciated having a robe to use.
Tiny suggested improvements: cloth napkins with breakfast or at least a full sized napkin instead of a cocktail napkin. Option to have a bucket of ice delivered with breakfast would have been nice so I didn't have to go down the hall in my robe :)
Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.
Welcome to the Twilight Zone
Chuck Non 19/03/2017 19:45If you are up for a romantic hotel experience this place has no competitors. It is in a beautiful old neighborhood with a new parking facility that seems oddly out of place.
Even if you don't have SLC plans you should look at the web page at the kitschy themed rooms. If you like uniformity there are plenty of bland chains. But hell, you only have an anniversary once a year so make it memorably strange.
Presidential Suite
mhigbeemon 16/02/2017 20:50My wonderful employer gave us a $250 gift certificate to Anniversary Inn as an engagement present, so we decided to use the certificate for our wedding night. My husband is a smoker, and there are only two rooms with a balcony, so I picked the Presidential Suite. It did not disappoint. The room was great, but we absolutely loved the private balcony overlooking downtown. Breakfast was delicious. We have already booked the suite again for our 1 year anniversary in July (which we got for a STEAL at $150/night during their Christmas promotion)!
