Solid small hotel with very good price ration
MWinckleron 19/03/2017 13:45The Annsun hotel is a small hotel in Ghandi Nagar, Chennai, a little north-east of IIT Madras. For me it was a good alternative to the high-priced hotels around IITM. It is clean, comfortable and the boss and staff really care for their customers.
Ghandi Nagar is a nice and quiet neigborhood where you will find quite a lot of shops and alos at least five very good restaurants. I can e.g. highly recommend the "Hamsa", a high-quality vegetarian Indian restaurant with excellent staff and top food just five minutes from the Annsun hotel.
Remark: I would not call the Annsun a "boutique hotel". Rather, it is a small but very nice hotel that I recommend for both travelers and business people who want to get a solid accommodation for a good price.
Final remark: The location marker in Trip Advisor is a bit misleading since the entrance to the hotel is not on Ramachandra road (new name: 4th main street) but around the corner in 4th cross street. It still has the official address "#101, 4th main street".
Stupid place to stay.... AC hopeless ... dingy rooms.... suffocating.... changed the second day....
Pooja Con 05/11/2016 20:25I was hopeful it would be nice but it is highly priced... hopeless place... staff was helping and humble.... but the place is a total " NO "
The food is hopelessly bad... anyone staying there wants to come out of room to breathe
Good option for stay

Enjoyable stay at Annsun Hotel
eas2eon 14/09/2016 04:25The hotel is in a relatively quiet quarter of the city, within easy reach of many of Chennai's attractions by autorickshaw. The rooms are clean and free of mosquitoes, and are reasonably priced. The staff are kind and helpful. The hotel offers a limited menu of South Indian food, available 30 minutes after ordering. Their onion uttapams, upma and fresh juices are the best!
Fairly decent but expensive
madhuri_rg1on 04/09/2016 09:15Stayed here with family during the last week of August. We had booked two standard rooms and upon our arrival, the manager said only one room is available and the other room would be given by 1:30 PM. 5 of our family members were accommodated in a family room with a double bedroom - which was inconvenient and we had only one restroom.
We didn't get the second room till almost 3 PM. This was unexpected and highly upset with the management for the same.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff was attentive and helpful. A little pricey for its range.
