unfriendly, no wellness

We were a group of 4, planning to spend a wellness weekend in Honfleur. Priori to our arrival we tried to contact the hotel twice to ensure wellness treatments would be possible during our stay. No answer.
When we arrived, the receptionist was very unfriendly and told us no wellness treatments were possible for 4, and only 1 small appointments were possible.
When we asked them to resolve the issue - as they promoted themselves as wellness hotel- they started mocking us.
We tried to cancel our reservation, but they said all was paid and we could get no refund. And that they didn't spend time on reading messages, we should have called.
A very disappointing experience when you have just drive 5 hours to spend a relaxing weekend at a wellness.
The staff did not attempt to think towards a solution, but remained impolite, laughing at the fact that we could not do anything against it.
In the end we just left the hotel, looking for a nicer place to spend our weekend. An expensive and painful experience.

Nice Spa hotel

Lovely decor, nice open and airy reception. Super pool area with pleasant seating and spa facilities. Nice big windows that swung open wide, a must when we visited in 100 degree sunshine. Super big bathroom with full size bath. Nice art on the walls

Comfortable Spa Hotel

We booked 2 rooms to accommodate 5 people the mezzanine room had a great feel to it being very roomy with the benefit of a great view of the Pont d Normandy. The other room felt a bit small by comparison. We enjoyed the spa and swimming pool the steam room was the hottest we have every used!

We booked this hotel as it was one of the few left with a family room. I wish we had booked sooner and had more choice. Whilst the beds were clean and comfortable the room was very basic and expensive for what was provided.

The family room had a split floor set up which was good but the upper floor was extremely hot the night we stayed and there was a noticeable stain where the velux window has leaked down the wall.

There was 1 tv control for 2 televisions, the menu didn't work so you had to scroll channel by channel which was quite irritating.

The sink in the bathroom, whilst pretty, was too high for my 5 year old to use which isn't great for a family room. Also the shower had no curtain or door so the room became rather damp despite efforts to stop water going everywhere.

No tea or coffee facilities, or fridge.

We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere as it was €12.50 per person including the kids (rather steep), and there is an array of lovely resturants in town who charge less with more ambience.

All in all its fine if you want a very very basic, clean comfortable bed for the night but don't hope for anything more.

We didn't use the pool but I guess that might add to the experince... although not enough I would guess. We won't be going back.

A nice, but not exceptional hotel. Well laid out with a good spa area. The hotel - like many others in France - doesn't do evening meals which was fine as it turned out because we found a brilliant wee restaurant in town. Most of the staff were very pleasant but the night porter was a bit grumpy when we asked for a nightcap from the bar at 10.15pm. I wouldn't rush back.
