Nice little hotel
huuMAREhaaon 12/08/2017 18:12We stayed Antica Raffineria in our three nights trip to Venize. The hotel is in very nice area. We arrived Venize by bus and it was easy to just walk to the hotel. Train station is also near. Check in went great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet at night time and early in the morning. Our room was very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you aren't looking anything special.
Perfect location and safe area
Kinga Gon 16/07/2017 10:30I felt this hotel was a small hidden treasure box in a great location within the beautiful Venice. The room was absolutely suitable for us, however, the air conditioning was a bit funny. It would have been great to have a small fridge in the room to keep our food and drinks there. I loved the location as it was out of the crowded area and was very close to the train station. Internet connection should be better.
What a wonderful location and sweet room!

Great location, nice straightforward, clean hotel
shapeofdollson 09/06/2017 20:14I'd recommend this area if you're visiting Venice - it's not too tourist-orientated, but close to the train station with late-night bars and restaurants. Maria was very helpful over email with our late arrival... just on the 11:30pm cut-off! The hotel is simply decorated, clean and very quiet. Our bed had a fantastic firm mattress.
We were also provided with a very good map of Venice in the welcome pack - better than the one in our guidebook.
The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is that it's down a dark alley, which lone female travellers may find a bit off-putting. Once you're inside you'll feel safe, and the area seemed friendly.
A tip for Venice: use the water buses! A little expensive but will save your exhaustion as you'll be walking a lot. A couple of routes stop near this hotel.
Fantastic Venice
MonkeyDion 24/04/2017 19:36We spent only 3 nights at Antico Raffineria but could easily have stayed much longer, if time had allowed. Even in April Venice is crowded with tourists but May-August is much worse. Staying at Antico Raffineria was a wonderful respite from the hordes. Located in Canareggio just two canals behind the Grand Canal it was easily reached from the train station and within easy distance of all the sights. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable with large ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is available in a small room off reception and the owner and staff could not have been more welcoming or pleasant. It's a great place to stay in Venice.
