Truly Pleasant Stay

Oh Point Pleasant, how we already miss you! We just returned home after a four night stay at Point Pleasant with our two young children. We chose this resort based on the reviews here and I can tell you the good reviews are well deserved. Our villa was close to the lobby which was handy for easy access to fresh beach towels, the complimentary shuttle service (which will take you to east end beaches, Red Hook and the ferry) and the rum punch. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and we felt well taken care of (thank you Jean!). The resort was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. The neighboring Margaritaville felt like it had more of a party atmosphere so I was glad we stayed where we did.

We did as others suggested and had groceries delivered to our room in advance. One thing I wanted to point out though was that even though the description of our room said it had a 'full kitchen', there was no oven. Not realizing this, we had ordered a couple of grocery items that required baking. We improvised and made it work but I wanted to let others know.

Other reviewers said there was no housekeeping but I wanted to point out that housekeeping is, in fact available on M,W, F upon request. We requested it one time just for the bathroom and they went ahead and tidied everything and even posed my daughter's dolls, much to her delight.

I have only one tiny complaint and I am hesitant to even mention it because everything else about the resort was so wonderful and I am not even sure this was something they could help. The bathroom toilets in our unit always had some sediment and residue of some kind in them which was kind of .. .well . . icky. I was told it had to do with the plumbing to the toilets and did not affect any of the shower or sink faucets. This maybe typical of island plumbing or may have been unique to our unit. I only wanted to point it out because at first I thought it was that the toilets had not been cleaned or that there was a problem. Once it was explained to me, I was fine.

All in all we loved our stay here and plan to return in the future. Thanks Point Pleasant for helping make our families first trip to the Caribbean a wonderful one.

I was just there for a brief visit, but would love to spend more time there! The room was very quaint, the restaurant on the property has a wonderful menu with reasonable prices & it is right on the bay. All of the people at the resort were pleasant & helpful. You didn't even have to walk to your room, they drive you right to it & make sure you get in ok. One of the shuttle drivers, Luis, was especially helpful, pleasant to visit with & could tell you all about the island! I would highly recommend the resort!!

I give up! Just when you think the resort can't get much better, they go and add a spectacular two-bedroom villa to their accommodation options. We didn't want to check out. It is completely renovated from top and bottom. It sits on the very top of the hill, with the best views, and it even has its own parking space right next to the front door. Come-on-man, your killing me!
Everything else was just as before. AWESOME!

A perfect honeymoon location

Our room (B20) was fabulous, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing view. It was a perfect honeymoon. Free transportation to Red Hook (for getting to groceries and the ferry to St John) and Coki was very convenient. ALL the staff was wonderful and helpful and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and can't wait to do so again. We visited the Shoreline Grill almost every day we were there which has a lovely location and you can feed the fish and birds that hang around. Friendly service, good food and strong drinks.

The Only Place To Go

My wife, Ann, and I just spent out 26th anniversary at this incredible place - Room F10 to be exact. It was absolutely the perfect place for us. The room was incredible with a view that was magnificent. We were just off the lower pool and just above the restaurant. With incredible people like Jean (pronounced "Jah") and Brook and Tyler at the front desk, there was no way this could be anything but a fun and relaxing anniversary. Esther helped us down by the pool when we wanted to kayak or find our way to the secluded "Sugar Beach" with its queen sized beds - no, really! Ray and his staff at Shoreline Bar and Grille served the best food and drinks on the island. Danny, Willie and Ronald not only taxied us to the local spots, but offered historic insight about the island and its people. No Worries when you stay at Point Pleasant Resort. Just a great time with the best people around! We will be back!! Thanks to you all for making our anniversary fantastic!
