Awesome playground and quick hikes!
RedCycleon 04/06/2017 16:23We checked this place out while visiting family and the kids loved it! The playground isn't huge, but it has awesome climbing structures, large rocks to run up, and pretty short, easy hikes through the woods. We didn't pay to go into the museum itself so everything was free and a real joy! Worth a stop if you are looking for something to do outside with the kiddos.
Super cool playground (&) rocks!
Jenny_and_Carloson 20/11/2016 20:54This is our favorite playground in southern Westchester. A convenient break from the fast food/retail strip on Central Park Ave. All wood playground is really nice. Plus, there are animals, huge rock formations, trails, picnic areas. And they have events (bees/honey, cider-making, overnight camping in summer, etc.) for a fee and you can hire the place for parties (which we've never done). They also do outreach to schools. My one gripe is that for a nature center, their grounds are really contaminated with invasive plants. We are members and encourage others to join.
An escape from reality in your own backyard
Michele Eon 26/08/2016 04:35I go walking through the nature center trails a few times a month...and as I am walking I marvel at the American bald eagles, the great horned owl and the other animals that call Greenburgh Nature Center their home.
The grounds are immaculate. Sometimes I bring lunch and eat my food among the flowers.
Greenburgh Nature is definitely one of Westchester county's crowned jewels.
Wow what a gem of a Nature Center right of Central Avenue
Dante-Donnaon 20/08/2016 13:41Stopped by the Nature center and was totally surprised as to how cool of a place this is, Trails were well marked and fairly easy to navigate, a bit hilly with its ups and downs but not bad.
Very nice main house Manor building, playground for the kids too. A definite stop by for the family... ENJOY....
An oasis in the middle of Westchester.
