We got a great deal for an autumn package, including accommodation, breakfast, dinner and a massage. There was a misunderstanding and I never receaved the appointment times for the massage. However, everything was settled and we receaved good compensation. We enjoyed the trails through the forest, saunas, pools, gym and great food. Five stars for this relaxing experience :)
Unexpected delight

Wonderful sojourn in the countryside. We booked this hotel because we couldn't find accommodations in Mikkeli and were delighted to discover this lovely lodge. We ended up staying put for the entire two day stay, enjoying the grounds, peace and quiet and wonderful food.
Roomy and clean

Basic hotel with big rooms. Quite recently renovated. Bed was great. Service was professional. Breakfast was nothing special but absolutely enough. Place is beautiful by the lake. Spa was quite small.
Recharged our batteries completely

Anttolanhovi provides you everything to have an active, though relaxing holiday.
The food at the Lakeside Restaurant is exceptionally tasty and nicely presented. The products you can find at the breakfast buffet are all local and delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We had booked a superior room, which offered all the comfort we needed. It was simple, but spacious. The superior rooms all have a balcony and a lake view, which is a nice bonus. This way, you can enjoy the view even from the privacy of your own room.
The environment is beautiful and offers a lot of possibilities. Around the hotel are several walking paths that guide you through a varied spectrum of stunning views. Make sure to use the bikes to go to the winery or the centre of Anttola, since the cycling through the hilly landscape is as much worth it as the destination. On one of our trips we met some beautiful big crane birds standing on the path, which flew away like dragons in the breathtaking forest. Also, certainly go rowing on the lake. It is very easy and enjoyable.
We signed up for two of the guided activities the hotel offered: the cruise to the historical rock paintings and the hiking trip to Neitvuori. They were both well worth it. Still, the hiking trip to Neitvuori was our favourite. Our guide, Elsi, was extremely friendly and showed us the beautiful views. She was also very good at telling us all about the local legends and history of the mysterious place.
The only thing you have to keep in mind is that the hotel is not very easily accessible using public transport. It is very easy to go from Helsinki to Mikkeli by bus or train, but the bus from Mikkeli to Anttola only rides once a day. So either you have to make sure you catch that bus, or you will have to take a taxi. Next time we go there, we will probably rent a car so we are more independent and can go to more remote hiking spots easily on our own.
In short, our stay at Anttolanhovi was everything we expected and more. We can't wait to go there again!

Been there several times, always satisfied. Especially I like the kitchen and local food specialties. Staff is great and like people in Savo they are lively and easy to communicate with. Anttolanhovi has standard hotel rooms. They have also different kind of apartments, also luxury and with own berth. Landscape is typical Finnish lake and forest.
