What People are saying

Nice hotel with onsen facilities

sherryjiaon 30/07/2017 07:19

Room size was ok and it was cozy and clean. There are onsen facilities in the hotel. The hotel was quite far from Sapporo center but we drove so it was a big problem for us. They had a huge onsite carpark. The bathroom was clean and have a bath tub.

Huge Resort near a driving range

Stayed there because all other hotel for business were packed.
I don't recommend for business stay, as it is a bit far from the city center.
Otherwise room was ok, bathroom full Japanese style, same for breakfast buffet.

Budget Hotel with a really good Onsen

Kishore Mon 30/12/2016 00:26

The hotel is priced very right and yet the rooms are comfortable. We chose this hotel since it offered a family room with four beds (#1104) and it did not disappoint. The view from the room was gorgeous with mountains in the background and snow covered landscapes.
Breakfast buffet is quite Ok with basic eggs, bread station, fruits etc. It will be suitable for both Eastern and Western palate.
The best part is the massive supermarket just 100 - 200 on the right of the hotel. Great place to shop for Japanese products of all sorts. The same super market has a few restaurant options like Mos burger, a Japanese Ramen shop (AWESOME) and a beef grill restaurant.
One drawback is that this hotel does not have a gym or a pool, thought there is a gym outside the hotel about 300 m on the left. I did not go there so I am not sure if you need membership for access.
The highlight of the hotel is the Onsen spa on level one. Each night you can enjoy a hot water dip in the freezing weather outdoors.
Hotel also has a coin laundry on level 1.
The hotel is a bit far from the main city of Sapporo. You need to take a taxi (5-10 mins ride) to the nearest subway station and then ride on the train into the main city which takes another 20 odd mins.

Comfortable stay

My husband and I spent 5 days in this hotel. Though it looks kind of dated, looks can be deceiving. It is extremely comfortable and clean.

Upon our late arrival at almost midnight, there was nothing opened around the area except for two convenience stores nearby. You can buy the food there and bring back to the hotel as there are also microwave ovens provided at the side of the lobby. The staff, though do not speak good English, but can still vaguely comprehend and answer your English questions.

The room was considered big by Japanese standard I believe. It has 2 single beds and still quite a bit of room for walking about, has 2 sofa seats a small coffee table, and still enough space for our big luggage. The toilet, though small, was cosy. It has a separate bath room, Japanese style. I loved it!

The public onsen/ hot bath on the ground floor is for use of hotel guests. It is quite big and has an indoor hot bath and an outdoor bath area. The whole place is kept very clean. Very worth the experience. Exactly like what we saw in Japan Hour, a show featuring various places in Japan. I had a wonderful experience the other day when I went out to the outdoor hot bath when it was snowing. No need to travel to jozankei nearby.

There are restaurants, shopping facility at AEON and supermarkets nearby. There are buses to the nearest Makomanai subway station. The best was the availability of public buses to Sapporo station. Not extremely expensive and was quite fast and efficient way of getting to the Main shopping and eating area in under an hour. You get to see the makomanai area too!

You know what is best? The availability of free shuttle to another APA Hotel in town. So if you plan your day properly, you actually get to travel to town and back to this hotel for free! It feels like you are staying right smack in town.

I loved this hotel. It would have been selfish if I had not shared this wonderful resort with readers. Oh, but do be warned it can get a bit noisy in the lobby if there are too many tourists. We were lucky to go off when a bus load of tourists came.

Overall, it was an excellent stay for us. No need to travel to the mountains for Onsen!

Old hotel, mini room

A very big hotel but the decoration is old, it seems more than 40 years history. The bed is the most smallest which I have ever seen, I requested double bed when I made the booking online, it made us disappointed. Moreover, it's not convenient for going out and shopping, eating nearby.
