A hotel for sleeping only
GuranLovon 15/01/2017 17:25This hotel has a good location. They have a Japanese bath which was of good standard. The rooms we had were small but with good functionality and to a good price! It was not superclean but alright. We had a car and the hotel had a in-house parking which was convenient and not expensive.
Either go back or not
J Lon 30/12/2016 00:58Overall the stay was alright. We spent around $180 usd for three nights which wasn't that bad. It's pretty close to the mono rail and convenient stores (family mart and Lawson). However, the reception lady wasn't so friendly and nice when we checked in in the afternoon (maybe she was having a bad day?) and definitely we did NOT feel welcomed. The night shift staffs were nice except they could improve their basic English such as toothpaste and toilet paper because we spent about 5-10 mins trying to explain what we needed. The room we stayed was clean except we found some sort of hair on the bed before we even touched it and the washroom smelled a bit moldy. Overall this hotel is good for its location. Room is not very spacious at all, and hallway could barely fit 2 average sized people. Good for people who's only going to sleep there and be outside for most of the time. If it wasn't for the price and location, I would have a second thought going back.
Convenient and clean....
Landscape Con 06/12/2016 20:43This hotel is located in centre of Naha, convenient for restaurants, shopping and flights. We took 3 single rooms since the rooms in city hotels are usually very small in Japan, which is really true. For limited nights in Okinawa, it's a good choice. The rooms are tiny but clean.
Good location, clean room but fair service
amenatsumeon 22/08/2016 02:59This hotel is 10 minute(¥1,400-)-ride by taxi from airport. This hotel can provide some non-smoking rooms, but the number of them is limited. If you do not like to stay in a smoking room which we feel bad because of the smell of the room, definitely we recommend to make a reservation for a non-smoking room in advance. The nearest monorail station is a 8 minute walk from the hotel. In the early morning and the late night, a few local restaurant and a convenience store 'Lawson' nearby are open.
The twin room that we stayed in was clean but did not have enough space to leave our huge luggage open. Toiletries are tooth brushes, razors, cotton pads, shampoo and conditioner, shower caps, body sponges and body soap. In-room amenities are slippers, pajamas, an electric kettle, there were enough items to stay overnight comfortably. The bed was too soft for me. The bathroom is separated from the toilet. The huge public bath in this hotel was crowded in the evening, I preferred to take the bath in-room. Overall this is a good hotel, but do not expect any special services.
Okinawa Tomb Sweeping Getaway
DavidTempleFDRon 23/06/2016 13:34On Sunday, April 3, 2016, Leona and I took a ninety minute flight from Tao-Yuan Airport 525 miles northeastward over the Ryukyu Pacific Trench to Okinawa, Japan. It was our first visit there. Upon arrival at the brand new Naha International Airport, we walked a short distance to Yui Monorail, a fifteen station line that snakes its way through Naha from the airport to Shurijo Castle Park. Once Leona figured out the fare rate, we were on our way. The first thing we did was check in to our hotel; seven stops and twenty minutes away. We soon arrived at APA Hotel. The APA is a hotel chain all over Japan with the CEO of forty-four years, Toshio Moroya (on the right) at the helm. Here he is with Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo, Keiichiro Kobori, who has radically different ideas about Japanese modern history than one reads in the U.S. media. As I turned to the tiny, clean bathroom, grabbing a magazine called Apple Town and a book by the CEO himself, I sat on my throne. What I learned inside was not surprising. The magazine, placed in every mini-van sized APA Hotel room, says the truth is being withheld; that Roosevelt was a war criminal, in conspiracy with Churchill and Russia, to divvy up Asia and was to blame for starting the war between China and Japan. The magazine says MacArthur knew the Japanese were only defending themselves from Western attack and testified as such. Prof. Keiichiro Kobori had studied and published books in which he proved it. Behind the APA hotel is the Okinawa red light district. With neon lights blinking in tittie bars, taxis trawling the alleys for satisfied clients who've had enough, it was a cinch finding Orion Beer on tap and fried-noodle for a midnight snack. We felt no danger from the clientele; Japanese are discreet in their carnal pursuits.
