christinefongon 28/06/2017 16:38con- hotel look a bit rundown and the room is really smaller, hardly open a medium size luggage.
pro- awesome breakfast (western or japanese style), friendly staff especially the old women who preparing the breakfast. excellent location, located at the end of the odori park, walking distance to sapporo tv tower, tanukikoji shopping arcade and sapporo jr station.
although the room is small, but equipped with basic amenities with a big tv. worth for the price. will definitely my choice for next visit.
Too small, good location. Road outside hotel not treated. Dangerous
EastmeetsWestABon 13/02/2016 03:12We stayed in this hotel for a night. We are glad it is only for a night. As the room is very tiny and hardly have any room for a couple to walk, let alone asking for suitcase space to unpack.
The location is closed to odori park. The bed is OK. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced.
Please note there is no service at all to help U with luggage etc
The common pathway outside the hotel is not treated in snowy conditions and it's often very slippery. Dangerous.
For us, not again.
Tiny Room with Barely Enough Space to Walk
GlobeTrekker6on 06/02/2016 08:21This small hotel is located 1 block from Odori Park. Location is quite hard to find as there is another Apa Hotel located 1 block away. You'll need to carry your luggage two flights of stairs to the hotel entrance as there is no ramp available. Not user friendly at all.
As the title of the review suggests, our so called Double Room is the smallest we've stayed in throughout our travels in Japan. There is barely enough space to layout 2 mid sized luggages in the room and the passageway in the room is so tiny that at any given time only one person can pass through (we're average sized). Likewise the bathroom cubicle is also miniscule. Some Single Rooms in other Japanese hotels are even bigger than our Apa Double Room.
The television set in the room is huge (40") in comparison to everything else in the room. Luckily the window in the room can be opened for fresh air as you"ll soon feel claustrophobic inside.
The hotel offers a set breakfast but we did not try it. The price we paid for the room is high as we stayed during the Sapporo Snow Festival but you can get a much better deal for a way bigger room in Sapporo if you search for it online.
Front desk staff are quite courteous and that's about the only positive aspect of this hotel.
We shall not be staying in the Apa line of hotels in Japan in the future.
APA close to Odori Park
Mary Son 15/02/2015 17:50This APA Hotel is in an excellent location as it is only a minute from the Odori park, where the famous Snow Festival is held every February. Also it is only 2-3 minutes from a Tozai Line subway station. It's clean and the WiFi worked great. It would be nice if it had a restaurant, but a convenience store is only a minute away.
APA Hotel Sapporo Odori -Koen subway stations close to hotel
LizaTamon 02/08/2014 23:25Excellent location close to major attractions.
From airport , Recommend to take JR Rail to Sapporo Station, then take a taxi to hotel if you have luggage. 900 Yen taxi fee.
Nearby subway station is Nishi 11 - chome, about 10 minutes walk back to hotel
Another station that is 20 minutes walk is Odori Station. Easy to walk to.
note Odori station, the major station where you can do the followings
1. Change over to other subway lines
2. From Odori station, you are one subway away from Susukini ( lots of nite life )
3. One station from Sapporo station
4. Go to underground passage where a lot of shopping and restaurants.
