What People are saying

Just about value for money!

Mike Kon 05/08/2017 20:33

So let me start by saying that the hotel is in a great location within a five minute walk to Ginza, the upmarket shopping area in Tokyo. The Staff are all very friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. The room has all you would need, fridge, tea and coffee facilities as well as large TV and comfy bed! Bathroom is small but clean and well stocked! I guess for what I paid based on where I am you would have to say it is value for money. That said the room itself wasn't as clean as it could have been, the wifi is awful dropping you off every 10 minutes or so. Not great when you are trying to work. Would I stay again....well I'm here for another three weeks so I'll see if it improves!

Good location with friendly, helpful staff

Michael Don 24/07/2017 11:42

Good, though small, room and en-suite. Good free wi-fi and with good toiletries.
Eco-friendly. Don't expect palatial rooms in any hotel in Tokyo...mine was barely large enough for a double bed and side table.
Friendly, helpful staff keen to please. They have a reasonable knowledge of the area and Tokyo in general. There is a restaurant on the premises, that I didn't try as there are many small, family-run restaurants nearby. There is an empty mini-bar, kettle with coffee and tea in the room. There are also many 7/11 type stores nearby to stock up on whatever.
A good location less than 100 yards to Shintomicho Metro station. Easy access by changing metro lines after arriving from Narita at Ueno station on the Starliner - about 75 minutes all up. Get a Metro guide and a "value ticket", which is good for 24hours traveling and well worth it at 600yen, as one can go virtually anywhere in Tokyo with it..
The famous Tsukiji Fish Market is a 10 minute walk away.
I took the bus from Narita to Tokyo Station and caught a taxi to the hotel, which only cost 570yen.
It took ages to get through Immigration, so from arriving at Narita and getting to my hotel took 2.5 hours, which my friend, who had arrived at the hotel the day before by metro, thought was quite good!

Great Golden Week Stay

Recent 6 night stay -- Made a last minute change to this hotel as I decided to be closer to Ginza this time around.

Fabulous location -- Close enough to the action, but far enough to be quiet. Small local restaurants, mostly catering to business people. Picked up a pre-made lunch bento one day and found it to be excellent value.

I flew into Haneda, and it was an easy direct metro ride to Hagashi-Ginza, followed by a pleasant walk to the hotel. A number of other stations close by, made for easy metro route planning.

It was much closer to Tsukiji market than it may appear on the map. Easy to even walk up to Ningyocho to eat at a couple of restaurants I enjoyed on my last trip.

Found the front desk staff to be efficient and friendly. Cleaning staff were polite and did a fabulous job. Very much appreciated the eco cleaning options, where you could opt out of daily cleaning.

I no longer equate daily change of sheets etc. as being necessary during vacation and see it as a small step towards reducing my travel footprint.

The only criticism I have is with the wifi. When it was busy, it would drop repeatedly. For someone who isn't a heavy user, it was often enough to bother me. And I was just trying to use email and skype.

Otherwise I had no issues with the room size or amenities and would return again.

Small room size but typical of Tokyo

mag_tyon 02/05/2017 00:22

This is a typically Tokyo hotel size in Japan where the room is only slightly bigger than the bed. We loved the warm seated bidet toilet and the area in which the hotel is located (close to several stations and eateries).

Loved our stay - excellent location, immaculately clean, Shiseido toiletries, efficient bathroom

We were a large group of 3 generations and stayed here for about a week. We chose this location because we expected those in their 70s to prefer to explore the expensive boutiques and department stores in the Ginza area which is about a 5-10 minute walk. The Tsukiji Fish Market is a 15-20 minute walk with all sorts of interesting shops along the way. Across the street from the hotel is a 24 hour Lawson's Convenience Store with all sorts of food, toiletries, treats. Within a 5 minute walk away are several neighborhood restaurants and bars. There is much to explore and discover nearby. We found that the location is close to 3 subway lines, so we were able to explore many neighborhoods.

The room is small but efficiently designed. There is central air and heat, coffee and tea bags. Slippers, robes, and a small desk, a small fridge, and a large TV. The bathroom is small, but the sink's faucet moves sideways to allow you to fill the water kettle for tea and coffee. There is the Toto washlet, a small tub and shower combination. The children in our group bought bubble bath and bath salts -- it took no effort to get them ready for bath time.

The hotel has a washing machines, a vending machine with drinks, a restaurant. The staff is helpful, efficient, and speak some English.

We had such a wonderful time in part because of the hotel and in part because of its location. Around the corner is a small playground, which the kids in our group enjoyed while the others were still getting ready for the day.

I am planning to stay here again for our next trip to Tokyo.
