Ok hotel in Takaoka
Maria Con 04/08/2016 15:04We stayed in this APA in Takaoka and we could say that the stay was ok, not excellent. The room was very small, nearly difficult to put horizontally the two trolleys. It was very warm. If you open the window, you will hear the cars of the main road. Fridge was noisy and air conditioner, too.
It is located 15' walking from train station and main areas of interest are in a radious of 15', too.
In Takaoka in general, they nearly do not speak English and most texts are in Japanese only. Take a translator with you everywhere there.
Being and occidental, for the size of the room, I would choose a bigger one.
Cheap but far from train station
cd13joneson 08/10/2012 13:24This is more a chain hotel style of a place but for 5000 yen, very reasonably priced and only 20 min away by train for Toyama and Kanazawa so very good location. The room is very small but that's how things are here in Japan. Don't go eat at the restaurant on the second floor, go eat at the sushi restaurant 5 min walk called Iki Sushi. Best sushi ever! To get to the hotel, it's an easy tram ride that you take right in front of the train station. Get off at the 4th or 5th stop (the hotel is in between)
