The location of APA Hotel, Takasaki is very accessible that it's just 5min walking distance from the train station. The area is surrounded by convenience stores opened 24 hrs.

Departments stores like Takashimaya (tax free for tourists) and others are also around the corner that you dont have to go far to shop. For eating convenience, there is a small grocery store and various food stalls, cafe, and restaurants, and souvenir shops most of them are inside the train station area.

ATMs are also available inside convenience stores like 7/11, Family Mart, and Lawson which are open 24 hrs.

Bus and taxi terminals are just infront of the hotel which is very convenient when going somewhere else.

There is also a big electronics/IT/gadget department store, Yamada, located just outside the train station, take note they're tax free. There is also a small discount store at the other side of the highway where you can shop various items like perfume, cosmetics, food, etc. at a much cheaper price.

In the area you will find also some museums and parks walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel room is quite small, but clean. Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Housekeepers are very effiicient, friendly and polite. People are pleasant.

When you avail of the breakfast buffet at the hotel, make sure to come early as they dont usually refill anymore if you come at a later time.

Generally, our overall stay at APA Hotel Takasi is very good, comfortable, and accessible to all we need. We will definitely come back in the future.

Good budget hotel

We stayed here for a one night visit to Takasaki on a family trip. The hotel was a little old but had everything you needed. Customer service was good. location was good ,not far from a Shinkansen staion. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Overall good stay.

not so comfortable, but very convenient

I had a single room which was very small. But since I was there only for one night, it was OK. This hotel is just in front of the Takasaki Station, so I was very much relieved when I arrived pretty late at night. The Onsen on the top floor is small but very comfortable.

This hotel is located just next to the Takasaki MRT and it is so very convenient. The room is small but quite spacious compared to other hotel. The staff is also good and some of the staff speak english, so it is so much helpful. I try their breakfast buffet and it consists of american and japanese style breakfast. The food is quite good but majority are japanese style breakfast like porridge, miso soup, rice, etc. During raining season, they will place umbrellas in the lobby for the guest to borrow and use. I think this is very thoughtful. A new and nice hotel. The price is very affordable and they have sauna and pool but i did not have the time to use it. The WiFi speed is very fast. I will definitely return again.

Convenient and Right at the station

This is a nice hotel which is conveniently located just a few minutes from Takasaki train station. After an earthquake, the Ryomo Line had been stopped for hours and other trains were delayed, so it was great to have a place to stay for the night.
