Convenient location, very clean and modern new rooms
pippxzon 18/07/2017 01:50Stayed at this hotel on two occasions over my recent trip to Hokkaido and both stays were equally pleasant and comfortable.
Rooms are small as with all other typical Japanese business hotels but interior and furnishings looked very new and modern and bathroom was very clean. Hair dryer provided on my second stay malfunctioned but my husband easily did a swap at the reception for a new one.
We also loved and supported APA Hotel's initiative of environmentally friendly initiatives such as providing complimentary water bottles in exchange for not changing the bed linens (for stays longer than 2 nights), although they did provide us with a fresh set of towels and bath rug.
We initially wanted to take a taxi from Sapporo station but after googling the distance, we found that it was within 5 mins walking distance. Hotel is very conveniently located near the JR station and within walking distance of Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. We were even able to walk to Nijo market but that took around 15 mins.
PS: there is also free coffee available on the 6th floor.
Very nice hotel and near Odori Park
Gerardo Ron 06/05/2017 12:05The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from Sapporo station. The hotel is conveniently located and near restaurants and shops. The hotel is clean though the room is not so big. We were provided with Kimono's. Our room has a view of the city.
A new and convenient hotel
AdrianinJapanon 05/11/2016 03:48As many others have noted the single rooms are small and so I wanted to say that first to get it out of the way. Now for the review. The hotel is located a short walk from the station and is easy to find. The lobby is on the 6th floor and the guest rooms are on the 6th floor and above.
The hotel is quite new and my room was modernly furnished and very comfortable. The check in staff were friendly and were more than happy to keep my bag after check out until the evening. There is a coffee machine in the lobby where you can enjoy free (and tasty!) coffee between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
There was a big screen TV in the room that had BBC News 24 in English which I watched a fair bit.
If you are the type of traveler that likes a large room and spends a lot of time in the hotel room this perhaps isn't the choice for you. However, if you want a good location, clean and modern facilities at a good price for a business trip or leisure trip when you aren't planning to do more than sleep and spend a few waking hours in the hotel this is a perfect choice!

KirokiKon 19/09/2016 13:52Good location! If you stay at Sapporo city, this hotel is very useful for your travel. Nearby this hotel, there is a university of Hokkaido, a most famous university in Hokkaido. Have a good walking in the morning!
You can access a convenience store LAWSON about 1 min. Metro station is located about 5 min from this hotel by walk. And you can access the Sapporo station and centre of Sapporo city about 10min by walk.
In addition,there is a opened onsen spa at this hotel's roof. You can use this spa if you stay at this hotel. Hot spa and Sapporo's cool wind would make you feel good.
Good location, clean room.
EvitaPeronion 17/08/2016 11:055 minutes away from the Sapporo station, on foot. The hotel is centrally located, surrounded by many eateries and convenient stores, one will not go hungry anytime of the day.
Very good quality room - firm bed, large flat screen tv, clean bathroom, good shower, and most importantly, for me at least, powerful hairdryer is essential! Coin laundry is affordable and easy to use too.
APA Hotel has never disappointed me, so far, thank you.
