Good hotel
Alina Mon 06/08/2017 19:40Located in the middle of nice Poblado area which is close to the bars, restaurants, mall and popular entertainment district of Medellin. We didn't care for our efficiency apartment. It was outdated, there were no towels or soap provided for the kitchen. The bathroom was very small and crowded. We had also stayed on the second floor of the hotel in a different room, which was refurbished, modern, spacious, with great shower! It was a night and day difference between those two. The breakfast was soooo boring, same thing every morning, no verity at all. Coffee was mostly lukewarm. But the staff at the hotel was super nice, very helpful, many speak good English. We'll try another hotel next time we are in Medellin.
A good deal for US$49
Kanan Aon 28/05/2017 22:15It’s hard to knock this place. My standard room has a nice wooden desk with desk lamp, phone on a comfortable chair. I also have a dining table with two solid chairs, a two seater couch and a full kitchen with stove, oven, medium sized fridge and two marble top benches. Bed is queen size. The apartments cost $10 more and is the same room with an added living room. I could also choose a renovated room, which is what you see in the cover photo, very modern looking with king bed but no kitchen and less furniture, from what I could see. My room 302 on 3rd floor also has a large balcony looking out on a church tower and the mountains in the distance.
The cleaning staff are wonderful here. When I asked for an electric jug or something to make coffee with they brought me a coffee maker. The breakfast staff are great too.
On the down side, the bathroom is tiny with little to no bench space, the shower only stays hot for around five minutes, and the toilet bowl is a miniature children’s size.
Staff are generally helpful but one or two on the front desk have attitude and got impatient with me when I didn’t immediately understand their directions to the local supermarket.
There is no complimentary water or tea and coffee, they are all minibar items and must be paid for.
The kitchen is great but has limited use as there are no appliances such as toaster or electric jug, just 2 plates, bowls and some cutlery and a large pot. Cleaning staff brought me a scourer, soap and a towel to wipe down the bench when they saw that I was using the kitchen.
The building is old but well maintained and the furniture is solid. I love the parquetry floor. There is cable TV but no English channels.
If you want to stay in Poblado where all the club action and bars are, you will like the location. It’s 5 minutes walk to a great supermarket and 10 minutes walk to the station. It’s a pretty good deal for US$49.

MonBelEon 26/05/2017 13:46The room was way bigger than I expected; it's perfect for a family trip because it has a small living room and a kitchenette; I was in a business trip, and I'd definitely come back. Only thing I didn't like is that I wasn't clear on the booking website that I'd have to pay extra taxes upon arrival.
The hotel is three blocks away from the Parque Lleras, so close enough to restaurants and bars, but far enough to avoid noise.
Very happy.
GMartin76on 08/05/2017 15:07The room was larger and nicer than I expected, much more than I need. The location is ok quiet but near the party places. Breakfast restaurant was very tasty and has a great view. Not very hot water in shower.

irishinarizonaon 13/04/2017 06:43I have to say we regret having a little better view of the city but we got one of the updated rooms and looking back it was worth it.
With all the restaurants nearby we did not take full advantage of the free breakfast available every morning ...but we really should have!! The view is unbelievable from the top!!!
The service to refill our refrigerator was extremely slow but other than that we had no complaints at all highly recommend this place.
