Good Value
gerryofskerrieson 05/04/2017 11:47Rooms cleaned every day. .good pool area Breakfast excellent. It was noisy at night due to late night clubbers going home from pubs and nightclubs. If I went again Iwould stay at Paradero 2.rather than Paradero 1 Do not believe the negative reviews you read about this you read about this hotel
Pretty decent
LordMorringtonon 03/03/2017 17:47Firstly it should be noted that the Paradero 1 is not the Ritz, or that it ever pretends to be. It's rooms are priced at the level that I feel is reasonable for what you get. So if you're looking for luxury you better look elsewhere.
However, for what I paid for this is a good place to be. Paradero 1 and Paradero 2 are clearly connected complexes. No 1 has a pool within the complex whilst No 2 is about 100 metres away and doesn't have a pool. You need to cross a public bridge over a floodway to get to the pool if you want to use it. Not exactly handy but if you're already aware of it then you shouldn't be put out too much.
The rooms are clean and quite spacious. Some of the items are quite worn but do what they're intended to do. You need to become an expert safe cracker to dial in the shower to the correct temperature. There is a safe in the room available for a small deposit. The room comes with basic kitchen pots and pans, enough to do most things but doesn't come with any washing up liquid. I suspect most people won't go out and buy some if you're only staying a few days but the bar of soap supplied in the bathroom does the same job. A small fridge/freezer is also within be room and handy for keeping your beers cool before you visit the pool.
There is a poolside bar which isn't open in the off season and I can imagine poolside sunbeds would be at a premium when it's the busy months as it's not a very big area.
Free WiFi is available in the lobby (which is actually the neighbouring premises called Paraiso del Sol) and can be purchased for your room. A bit tight of them but most hotels have the same setup.
The real gem of the hotel is it's excellent location with regards to Las America's. The main drag is only a few minutes walk away and more importantly close on the way back from the pubs!
The complex is accessed through a number of green gates placed around it so when you arrive take a quick walk about to locate the one which is nearest to which direction you want to go in.
I would definately come back here self-catering again. I usually go all inclusive but the fantastic location of the hotel allows plenty of eateries to be nearby.
holiday with builders
Duncan Con 01/03/2017 16:15Stayed here last june, hell of a walk to nearest pubs ,down hill then along beach for what seems ages, used taxi in the end to go to the best areas on the beach front and english pubs most of the holiday, staff kid on they dont understand you but they do, on the first night there, had to find apartment our selves, just left to get on with it,got lost then came back to reception the guy then showed us were we were staying up the road and around the corner what a laugh, asked to be over the pool when booked, were we were coudnt even see it no view at all and no wifi , the last three days of our holls the builders turned up in the apartment two apartments away from us, and from 9am till 4pm band bang drill drill allday long could not sleep in, complained but nothing done, complained to sunmaster nothing done, could go on more but no point you would be mad to stay here be warned

Outdated, dirty and noisy
Bern777on 13/02/2017 21:25The apartment is very outdated, and while on appearance it appears to be clean, when you look deeply it was filthy! The drawers hadn't been cleaned in quite a while, nor the cutlery! We had cockroaches too! On a good note the pool area is lovely, plenty of sun beds and quiet, no lifeguard though ! You must check-in to the Paraiso Del Sol hotel which is nearby! You can use the facilities there! They have a lovely pool and a pool bar which serves very cheap food and drink! For example chips and fish for €3.75(see picture). It is very close to the beach but also to veronicas so if you plan on having a nights sleep don't book the Paradero!
