Good for a quick weekend away

We just got back from a weekend away here (Fri-Mon), took 2 of our children aged 9 & 6 years. Flew from Birmingham to Girona and jumped in a taxi for the transfer - was 55 euros to the hotel and only 44 euros back. There is a late check in fee of 15 euros which we weren't aware of upon booking. We were also charged 6 euros for Cataluna tax and 2 euros for the toilet! We also had to pay 120 euros holding deposit which was returned upon check out. They provide you with sheets, pillowcases and towels so be prepared to make your beds on arrival.

Location (although up a steep hill) is great as you get the beautiful sea views.
Pool was fantastic, the kids loved it, theres an adult and a child pool right next to each other. Only downfall was that Reception keep hold of the umbrellas and the stands aren't strong enough to hold them so my husband had to hold onto it to stop it tipping over! Cone of chips for a lunchtime snack were delicious along with reasonably priced drinks.

When walking down the steep hill into the town, remember this ... walk to the left and you go into the traditional Spanish town - not a Brit in sight but lovely tapas restaurants and market stalls. Go to the right and it's a lot more commercial, loads of nice restaurants and touristic shops.

Beach is lovely, sandy with a bit of coarse in it. Nice market stalls along the walkway by evening.

Gorgeous breakfast each morning at Texas Ranch to the right of the waterfall roundabout - very child friendly but note that they don't take breakfast orders until 10am.

We had a chinese in Asia Wok restaurant in the touristy side on our last night and it was amazing!

We also caught a taxi to the Botanical Gardens and walked back after - beautiful (but tiring) day out with breathtaking views.

A holiday is what you make it, the accomodation is perfect if it's just a place to rest your heads!

If you need to check out before 9am try and let the staff know the day before as the Reception was all locked up when we needed to leave and we had to wait half an hour for someone to come and return our deposit. Luckily we were up early enough and didn't miss our flight home!

Just home today from this hotel 2 adults 2children basic hotel but lovely staff could not fault them lovely views out to the sea but the hill was hard going very reasonable prices for snacks and drinks rooms basic but clean you have to pay for your sheets and a deposit of 120 euro I thought that was a bit steep as we were only there for the weekend but had a good time

Visited in June 2017.Very basic but clean and comfortable. Be prepared to pay extra for sheets and towels plus a refundable deposit and you will need to ask for a kettle. Close to the beach but if you have mobility issues the steep hill may pose a problem. Staff are friendly and helpful, however reception closes at 10pm and after that there is no one available if there is a problem.

Totally loved it, so friendly and helpful, made us pizza on arrival at 2am after a long day travelling!
Reasonable prices good food, spotless apartments! Booked again for next year! Really cannot fault the price, value!

we love these apartments we have been here a lot of times now.we had a great room it was on floor 2 room 1 with a great view,the room was very clean and comfortable.now you can get a kettle from the reception,you do have to pay 1 euro for extra towels.
