We stayed here for 3 nights recently. We had stunning views over the prom. Very large room with dining and lounge area. Only a 20 min walk downtown. Hotel v clean, staff v friendly. I'd love to come bk

I have stayed at Adagio twice and was very satisfied with the accommodation. My studio apartment was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the proximity to supermarket, post office and pharmacy was an added bonus.
Nice's transport is very good and there are buses at the door. It is easy to catch the 98 bus to and from the airport to Fabron Musee, which is Adagio's stop.
I would certainly stay there again.

We landed in Nice late at night and when we checked into the hotel we were assured that the room was a sea view hotel as I had specified and booked accordingly. Since it was too late at night did not realize the issue with the view then. When we woke up in the morning we realized that our so called sea view was blocked almost 70% by the branches of a palm tree. ( pic attached). When we complained the next day, we were then offered a room in the lower floor which was not possible then for us to move since we had already unpacked all our luggage.
The bigger issue we had was that the room ( 202) which was offered to us was the ONLY room in the entire hotel with a blocked view and since we were brown skinned it was promptly offered to us! When we complained we were assured that 202 was the only room available at the time which was a completely false statement since the room 203 next to us with an uninterrupted sea view was unoccupied from the date we checked in till the date we checked out.
The hotel was unapologetic about our issue and did not consider our complaint to be an issue at all. That's what was even more annoying.
My tip: if you are any thing other than Caucasian avoid this racist hotel at any cost!!!

The positives: great location, on the Promenade des Anglais....and its cheap.
The negatives: the hotel is filthy. The carpets in the passage were dirty. The marble in the passage was dirty. The walls in my apartment had mould. The extraction fan in the kitchenette was filthy. The elevator was dirty. We did not have breakfast but the selection for 12 Euros pp was very poor. Parking is too far from the hotel. In other words, other than being in a good place, the rest is poor. Had this hotel been a 2 or maybe 3 star hotel I might have rated it average at 3/5. But don’t be fooled, this is no four star hotel, at least on any comparative standard, and certainly not to the standard of the more luxurious hotels along this promenade. As a 4 star hotel it is terrible, the worst 4 star I have ever stayed in. For this reason I rate it 1/5. I don’t like giving such low scores. But basic hygiene and maintenance is an absolute. Its cheap for the Promenade. But cheap should never translate to dirty.

Worst experience regarding a hotel stay! Family of 5, with three young children.We stayed for 6 nights.
Arrived at 11pm, booking was for one bedroom apartment, received single room with two single beds! Took us good 2 hours of arguing to receive appropriate room for the night (202 with a sea view, although large palm blocking 80%of the view so more of the street noise than view). Next day we had to move to another apartment 206. Light, clean, with a view to building site... that did not bother us, as we don't spend lots time during the day in a room. The problem started at night. Me and my husband woke up from strong cigaret smoke smell. We contacted reception next morning and were told well they can provide fan as some rooms are aloud to smoke. The ventilation seemed to blow cigaret smoke from other room to ours. I closed the vent with the damp towel, did not help that much...My daughter has asthma so that was a big issue for us! to cut this short, every night was the same! we all could have no rest and my daughter was feeling unwell. not what you want on holiday! No room service, not even towels changed!
Not ever have we received any apology for inconvenience for moving, cigaret smoke...so rude...customer service non existing!
Location ok. no coffee shops or supermarkets close by.
Strongly recommend to avoid this hotel! as plenty of choice in the same street!
