What People are saying

Great location and great hosts!

Doug Mon 20/07/2016 21:12

Very good quiet place to be near the thermal baths and park and kids loved it! Breakfast was superb! The hosts were very good and accommodating! N hesitation to recommend this hotel to others. I think stairs only access to higher floors but dont recall exactly. Highly suggest doing the breakfast it was very good!

good hotel, pleasant room, not far from the highway

PeterEijsboutson 13/12/2015 09:00

En route to Switzerland I stopped here for an overnight stay. The hotel is part of the ringhotels and that is a sign of the quality. I got a room in the basement it was ok size, had a comfortable bed, was clean and had free wifi. The bathroom was not big but had everything you need. Shower was pleasant. Only minus, the bathroom door should rotate the other way around, coming out of the bed at nigth to go into the bathroom you have to go around the door. The room has a big terrace outside, but I did not use it. it looked inviting for summertime stay.parking just in front of the hotel. Breakfast is in buffet style with a lot of choices. quite some bio products as well. To summarize a pleasant short stay, relation price quality was good as well.

Large appartment and friendly staff

tatwozon 13/08/2015 15:31

We stayed as a grown up family of four. Large and well equipped apartment. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was not included in the price, but we did have breakfast the 1st morning, we found the room very small and difficult to get food with other guest trying to do the same thing. very quiet area but we had a car and travelled. We also took advantage of the free train travel in the black forest which was good and quick and easy to get to the station. Weather when we were there was around 37degrees so very good.

Great place to relax. Friendly manager who spoke excellent English!

My husband and I stayed two nights in this small bath town at Aparthotel Badblick. The apartment was very clean and very functional. We didn't cook, so I can't speak to the equipment in the kitchen, but I'm sure for small meals it would be just fine. No washer / dryer in the apartment but a very reasonable price (maybe $8) to have them do a load if you need it. Everything in working order and very comfortable and fairly modern. Nice balcony patio off our living room. It was also nice that we had a key for the property refrigerator (next to the office) full of drinks- wine, beer, etc. It's an honor system, and you simply report what you took. Very reasonable prices and so convenient.

The hotel manager, Jurgen, was so helpful and informative and spoke excellent English. He made us feel right at home even though he was obviously very busy running around the property when we arrived.

The town itself is very small and walkable. There is a train station, and this was our mode of transportation. Easy access throughout Black Forest and to Basel with free Konus card. Limited restaurants in Bad Bellingen, especially on a Sunday night, but we made do. I don't think we saw another American in this town during our stay, and even at 40, we were spring chickens. Many people only speak German and some French, but they were super friendly and helpful. If you want to utilize the baths (we didn't on this trip) or just have a quiet, very relaxing stay, this is a great place. There is a large grocery store near the park- maybe 15 minute walk. If you want night life, this is not the place for you.

Big apartment

S Bon 25/06/2015 12:39

The apartment was spacious, though the ceilings in room 9 were low. Anyone over 1,8m should seriously mind their heads. Also the sheets aren't from cotton and doesn't breath, very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. Staff could be nicer. I'm used that the service in a gasthof is perfect but at badblick not everyone is able to set the right priorities. For example during breakfast an old man spilled a can of hot water over my arm (and shirt, trousers and shoes). The lady who was working in the breakfast room rushed to the kitchen, came back with a towel and dried the floor instead of me. I think that's at least odd (and painful).
