Nice for longer stay
Winnugrohoon 18/05/2017 05:31If you looking for a wide apartment wide room hotel, you might interested in this hotel.
I got special rate from booking.com when I reserved months before I come to Barcelona.
Overall I do not have any complain with this hotel. The cleaning service done their job nicely everyday. I can also use the facilities in the Hesperia Tower, but have to pay extra. (I think the same way with people who stay in Hesperia Tower)
Some furniture might seem worn out, but still functional.
This room comes with living room and kitchen. No cooking utensils although there are microwave and fridge.
My friend complained about no microwave in her room, but the housekeeping could only provide another microwave 2 nights after her stay.
The location is convenient to the airport, there is shuttle bus to and from the airport, but only in the morning and late afternoon. Quite far from the city, but still it is near the subway station, and there is also shuttle bus from and to the Placa Catalunya.
I cannot say anything about the breakfast since I do not try any. But I think it will be very good since I had reception in the same hotel and their foods was always more than I expected.
Shuttle is free but it has a schedule
forsharaon 12/05/2017 20:11I made reservations for my last night in Barcelona because the hotel was near the airport and the website said it had a free shuttle. I had an extremely early flight and was under the impression that the shuttle ran 24 hours....definitely not the case. There are morning shuttles from 7:00 - 11:40 and in the evening 5:00 - 8:00....weekends is a different schedule. I had to arrange for a taxi, which the hotel helped me with, for an early morning pick-up (4:00 AM). The suites were very clean and quiet. I didn't have breakfast as I left before it was being served.
A little high priced for the budget conscious
bjbuddyon 11/05/2017 23:02The staff were caring and helpful and spoke fluent English. It was wonderful not to have to deal with language barrier issues. The free shuttle to the downtown and the airport were a nice touch. The suite was very clean but the furniture is very stiff and uncomfortable. There were no pots or frying pans in the suite. We were told that we could call reception and they would be provided. There is a convenient little retail area very close to the hotel where you can get the groceries you need for some simple meals and they are not expensive.
Expensive hotel apartment, close to Airport
Arun Son 14/04/2017 15:44Location : Excellent hotel apartments but pretty expensive. Hotel was outside the main city however they had free shuttles to and from city as well as Airport. The "suites" are not in the main building (30 stories or so), but rather in a tiny little building next to it.
Room : Was a little difficult trying to figure out the gas stove but for it working after asking the housekeeping staff. Huge, clean rooms and massive bathroom. Hated the air-conditioning in the room. It would randomly switch off in the middle of the night and restart suddenly noisily. That was the only complaint we had during our stay.
Shuttle Service : Had a major issue with a staff of their shuttle bus service. He was very rude to my wife. Name of the staff was Juan and acted as if he owned the shuttle buses. Hotel general manager was happy to discuss matter with us and explained that the shuttle service was operated by a third party. I hope he passed on the complaint to the company and action was taken against the shuttle service staff as it would definitely reflect negatively on the hotel itself. It left a sour taste in our mouth.
Excellent value for money
RW6030on 12/03/2017 21:38From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The rooms were exceptionally maintained and the breakfast was so well prepared. All the staff were very helpful and is ideally situated. The metro is close by,so getting into the centre of Barcelona is very easy and takes about 25 minutes. We got the T10 journey ticket and is great value for just under €10 . The hotel is within a residential district and feels very safe too as the locals are very friendly. Will go back if going to Barcelona again. Airport only a 15 minute journey away by 46 bus for about €2, that's if you miss the free shuttles bus the hotel provides.
