We stayed in an apartment right at the top of the complex it was hard work dragging our luggage up the 60 odd steps but worth it when we got there, there was ample room and a large double bed it was clean and tidy with a large outside eating area.
The complex is very near to a small beach with a bar and water sports are also available, the complex has a restaurant and bar also a swimming pool.
The village of Lumbarda is quiet but very nice with plenty of places to eat. The walled town of Korcula is pretty but full of restaurants and bars all competing for you business in our opinion it would benefit from and be far more pleasant if it was less crowded as you can hardly see the beauty of the architecture.

This was our 3rd visit to Lina as we have enjoyed our visit so much in past years. However, it seems that the majority of the apartments have been taken over and Monarch now only have access to 7 of them which are located on the higher level and they are very dark and have no sea view. The whole block is being refurbished except apparently for the ones used by Monarch. We were very disappointed and asked to be moved which we luckily were, later in the week. Despite all this they are still good value and the location is amazing. Lumbarda has everything we needed. Beautiful location, local dancing and markets and some nice places to eat with fabulous views.

Basic but perfect location

We stayed for 10 days at the Lina apartments. They are basic but clean and there was ample space for a family of four. The kids loved the pool and the apartments are right on the beach and all the restaurants of Lumbarda are on your doorstep too.
We ate in the restauarant a couple of times and the food and service were good.
There are a lot of steps so maybe more of a struggle if you have a pushchair or struggle with stairs.
If you are looking for simple accommodation right on the beach then Lina is perfect for you.

stayed for two weeks and couldn't fault them, bright modern furniture, very clean and everything worked! we stayed near the top of the hill and had some shade from the pine trees, with a beautiful view out over the sea, the climb was strenuous, but we managed it several times a day, convincing ourselves it was good for us (we're 80 year olds).
Realised the season hadn't really started,15th june, the locals only just getting out sunbeds and brollies in our second week. Local diet was mostly pizzas and pasta, puds were pancakes or ice-cream, great for families, but became a bit sameish for oldies, local wine was great, came from just down the road!

We stayed at Lina apartments in September 2015, this was a cheaper holiday with Cosmos, We usually stay at hotels so this was a first for us .
I read all the reviews before we booked, and was still a little unsure !
I have to say on arrival there are several steps you have to carry your luggage up to get to your apartment , but when you do and walk into the balcony / terrace , the view is an absolute WOW ! That is of course if you have a front facing apartment.
And an upstairs one is all the better !
The apartment its self, for the price is adequate .
A lounge, kitchen, shower room and a bedroom . All very clean, but there was a drain smell in the bathroom that came and went the whole week !
There was very good air conditioning , and outside on the terrace, a table and two chairs, and a clothes line .
There were cutlery and crockery in the kitchen, and a few pans etc. A microwave and a hob, and a fridge.
Cleaners came in three times during the week and cleaned the shower room and put clean towels in for us .
The restaurant at Lina,,, I wasn't expecting it to be much ! BUT, was we in for a surprise ! The food was very good, the beer great, and the pizza fantastic ! Recommend he Pizza, all cooked to order. The staff were all VERY friendly, and spoke excellent English, and some spoke other languages apart from their own.
There are two supermarkets nearby, one larger one to the rear of Lina and a smaller one in the town of Lumbarda in the front.
Lumbarda is a pretty small town, with a few shops and restaurants , there is a good bus service to Korcula old town, but the taxi,s are very reasonable, and the drivers are all very polite and friendly, as all Croatian people seem to be , such a lovely way to be !
There are three beaches , all walking distance, one is a little bit rocky, but there gaps.
One that is very shallow, and sandy, and a small one in the front of Lumbarda.
There are inflatable slides etc for children anchored in the beach, and kayaks and jet skis are rentable at a very reasonable price. Also there scooters for hire.
There is a water boat taxi that can take you to Korcula old town and also to Orebic main land , which is worth looking around, again nice but pebbly beaches.
Plenty of shops and restaurants .
Korcula old town is a MUST ! Beautiful walled city, a small version of Dubrovnik.
The Moreska sword dance is also worth seeing, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Trips to the islands are a must, Miljet particularly beautiful, a national park.
All in all , Croatia is such a beautiful country, that everywhere I have stayed so far has been fantastic ! So much so that we are returning next year to the Island of Sipan .
And Lina apartments get a good 9/10 from us, 10 if it wasn't for the drain smelling shower room !
