Fabulous meal
Hillwalker53on 14/05/2017 19:31We are spending a few days in Langudoc, near to Aragon. We booked Saturday evening meal here. a simply wonderful experience. everything from the moment you arrive until you leave were memorable. At the table we had a selection of home made nibbles, olives, mushroom paste, small crispy gateaux, soft cheese and divine home made bread. The set menu followed and came to E30 each! plus drinks. I wish we lived close by this place!!!
they do a magnificent "Cassoulet" regional duck, pork and bean casserole however it must be ordered 48 house in advance. The locals had pre-ordered and not surprising either... We can thoroughly recommend this delicious experience to any serious foodie and can't wait to return...
Good value but disappointing quality
moutonrougeon 25/04/2017 11:47We had the 29€ menu which included amuse bouches, petit fours and hors d'ouvres as well as a glass of wine and coffee. It was good value BUT the quality/lack of originality of the food was very disappointing.
We requested the main course lamb well cooked for one of us and pink for the other, but there was very little difference in the way it was cooked. More disappointingly we both had pieces that were inedible due to gristle.
The lamb was served in a bowl with purée, no idea why as it wasn't a stew, it was not easy to eat served like that. The dessert was also served in a bowl which had curved edges. There were a number of different elements (fruit, sorbet, jelly, biscuit) to the dessert but because it was served in a bowl it all became a sweet mush.
The Service was pleasant but too fast for a quality restaurant. We would have liked a more leisurely lunch, instead we felt rushed
There was nothing unique or original about the food. The food did not look like the photos on the website. Did the Chef get bored or is it just the lower standard for the lunch menu.
Superb dining, first class
ChrisFergon 18/01/2017 00:23Excellent personal attention, very caring people, explained everything super friendly and the presentation of food was purely divine ! Home made creamy white butter, artisan bread. A quirky addition of a red wine aereator on the table. Great atmosphere, probably suit couples very well.
Great hotel in peaceful location
LISA Hon 02/01/2017 15:14Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Bergerie. The setting is rural and very pretty, rooms are clean and well equipped and the hotel is well located near to Carcassonne. We did not have dinner but the menu looked very inviting.

Located not far from Carcasonne. Very quiet.
Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Offer views of the surrounding countryside.
Nice swimmingpool for the kids.
The restaurant serves very good food based on local recipies and produce.
Familly owners are very friendly and service minded.
