This hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment we stayed in 229 and the set of drawers were broken and if you wanted to use the wall plug it was located behind them, so we had to pull them away from the wall, there's no air con so you need your window open but then if you do you are disturbed all night with the noise from the traffic and the ceiling must be wafer thin as we could hear the guests in the above room walking or should I say stomping around
Breakfast was good but the sausages were cheap and had no taste, most of the chairs in the dining room were well worn and uncomfortable, the bar near the pool doesn't open in the day which I find strange for an hotel
The location is ok just a few minutes walk into town, would we stay here again we'd say no, unless it as a major refurbishment !

In serious need of upgrading

We enjoyed a short break in Jersey very much indeed but the hotel was a disappointment. Very tired twin room in serious need of refurbishment and redecoration. Feel sorry for staff having to try and present them well for guests. Shower virtually unusable as water came out either extremely hot or cold. Bathroom just looked grimy and the towels had a strange smell to them when they became damp. Wash hand basin cracked and cold tap difficult to turn on and off. Staff friendly apart from a rude night porter who seemed to be unaware that if the hotel insists on having your keys returned to the front desk every time you go out, someone has to be available to let the guests in when they want to return after an evening out! We didn't eat in so can't comment on the food provided. This was booked through Expedia by someone else for us as a treat and the hotel is supposed to have 3AA stars. As someone who has spent most of their career in the hospitality industry, I believe that this hotel does not reflect well on the island. Gardens looked lovely and pool area looked clean but as the weather was cool we did not swim. Conveniently close to walk to town centre in ten minutes.

This hotel is very central and buffet breakfast adequate for all
Small pool great for chilling
Rooms being upgraded but very very warm although a fan is supplied in each room
Top floor have a problem with noisy seagulls in early hours but overall very good value

Comfy, Clean and Close to the Centre

Enjoyed our four-night stay at the Apollo. As others have written, some of the décor could do with a spruce-up but any issues (eg damage to our bath by a previous occupant) was rectified quickly by the attentive manager.

We didn't try the evening meals but breakfasts set us up for the day. Both the outdoor and indoor pools were well maintained, and we liked the Jacuzzi on a wet day. Rooms were cleaned, and towels replaced efficiently every day.

Very well located, too, being in 5-10 mins' walking distance from main shops, harbour and bus station.

We went as a family of 3 and stayed in the family room, overlooking the pool. The staff were lovely and friendly. Central location. 10mins walk to harbour and 5mins walk to shops. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots to choose from. Wifi had excellent service. However, as previously mentioned, a little outdated in the bathroom and bedroom with no air condition. The pool was always clean with free guest towels. Great for children. We loved it so much that we will be coming back next year 😀!!!
