Andy Hon 01/10/2013 21:58This is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". Grubby, impersonal, no carpets, poor parking facilities, and not a 24 hr reception, making a late arrival quite difficult (20 minute phone call, 2 combination locks). Everything worked, and the bed linen was spotless, so it's fine if you literally just want somewhere to lay your head. Just close your eyes when showering and in the communal areas, which are a closer representation to a prison than a hotel.
Cheap stay if you must
michael_ludwellon 20/09/2013 19:36Dirty next to a disused building site. Multi occupancy rooms with cooker fridge etc beds mostly put ups are badly worn. Rooms grubby generally grubby through out parking very busy so arrive early. Reception staff ok
Faulty Towers without the humour!!
jmkddon 27/06/2013 18:09We were 2 families travelling back to uk from a family wedding in Champage and wanted a location near to the rail network (for Paris and Eurostar) and convenient to Beauvais for flight to Scotland.
The hotel price was v reasonable .... but this did not match the attitude of the manager/clerk when we could not access the rooms at the advertised hour - or for a number of hours afterwards - due to a "disturbance". There was no acknowledgement of the inconvenience this brought ... not even an apology. The attitude was "take or leave it" and it appeared from his approach that this manner of dealing with customers was common place. So these comments are based solely on the front office experience.
The internet has its benefits and within a few minutes we had sourced an alternative hotel, admittedly some 15 Kms away, but in a lovely village - Pierrefonds - with a magnificient Chateau. Hotel Burdon with pleasant and welcoming owners... if anyone wants to try it out.
pay for what you get
Martin Bon 02/09/2012 14:55This was a budget hotel, where we did not intend to stay for long and so fulfilled its role. We picked up the keys form a deposit box and checked out in the same way and so there was no human interaction. The apartment itself was roomy enough though our children has a sofa bed. The fridge meant we had nice cool drinks when we wanted. There is a minisupermarket round the corner so acquiring food was no problem. Unfortunately the weather was very warm and so too was the room. Sleep was also disturbed by announcements from the nearby train station and we had to park some distance from the building
Grubby dirty little place
David Pon 06/07/2012 18:41We saw 2 rooms, the first had broken bed/settee broken fridge and broken window blinds.Changed to second room with a broken window blind. Both rooms were dirty and grubby there was no parking as advertised. NO LIFT...Only 56 stairs to our room.YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN BED AND ARE REQUIRED TO CLEAN OUT YOUR RUBBISH WHEN YOU GO!!! The management are aware that this hotel is a dump as we were told on asking to change rooms that all rooms were similar to that which we had. Oh yea! the light switch fell off in my hand in the second room. We were told we could write to the company to complain if we wished. Looking at these reviews I can now see that they are probably aware that this hotel needs demolishing. Also there is no fire escape and the lights in the stairwell are push button(timed) switches which can leave you in the dark.
