Good location but a bit noisy
Chris Gon 22/06/2017 17:59Stayed here at the 24 hours Le Mans race. Very well placed for the trams to the track and a short walk to the old town. Rooms are ok but very noisy with trams and trains. Breakfast included and simple and ok. Parking is in the underground car park but they only accept French cards for payment and are €55 per day so expensive and you have to have the cash!!
Good cheap accomodation
Robert Lon 22/05/2017 17:48I have just returned from a stay at Appart'City, Le Mans with my son.
We were there for the MotoGP race and it looked a convenient place to stay.
We had a twin room with kitchenette which overlooked the tram lines rather than the railway behind. Possibly a bit noisy with the window open but didn't stop us sleeping.
The room was very clean and well appointed, albeit in a simple fashion, but this is what this chain is about.
Brwaksfast was standard continental affair and as good as any of the major economy type hotels.
Parking is in the adjacent underground car park and there is a loft direct to the lobby. As we were on my motorbike we elected to park out front with a number of other bikes whose owners were staying here.
Only criticism, there was only one cup! I'm sure we could have asked for another but as my son doesn't really drink tea/coffee we couldn't be bothered for one night.
All in all clean, comfortable and a good price, can't understand the negative reviews, we would happily go again and my lad said he would be happy to use it as an overnight take his wife and little 'uns.
Seedy motel feel !
Immy001on 30/08/2016 10:26After a long day of driving we were looking forward to a decent rest in this hotel
Entrance and lobby were decent enough and the lift and hallway to the room were fine......that's where it ends I'm afraid
The room was terrible, of a very low standard, and in poor condition with many issues:
- burn marks from cigarettes in the carpets
- a hole in the door (from vandalism)
- spit stain/ marks on the walls
- a/c not working
- mouldy shower tray
All the above documented with images - judge for yourself
The bedroom was extremely small with the double bed taking up most of the space
To top it off the room overlooks the train station with its multiple platforms, with regular, loud announcements at regular intervals
I tried to get the room changed but the man at reception said the place was full, so myself, my wife and 2 young kids stayed- and hot-footed it out at 7am !!!!
What a dump !
Could do better!
Paul_CNXon 11/07/2016 01:07Perfect location.
Despite previous reviews, this establishment is very easy to find. Exit the main station, turn right, 150m on the right. Directly opposite the Post Office and tram stop.
A simple, clean and functional "hotel".
For most of the year great value at around Euro 50 a night. During the main events in Le Mans (24 hour race, Le Mans Classic etc) a total rip off at Euro 250 a night!
Tiny pillows and no extras available. Tiny towels but extras from reception.
No WiFi in rooms, only ethernet, in 2016!!!
They really should pull themselves into the 21st century and give value for money.
Great hotel that is next to Gare Le Mans.
jackfrost0904on 07/07/2016 05:04Was able to get a room at this location the day the 24 hour race ended. Very convenient to access, as it is across the rails of the tram stop at the Gare. The staff let us store some luggage there before checking in and we were happy to see that the room was quite large - as was the bathroom. comfortable bed and desk with complementary wi-fi. There is a small kitchenette if you want to cook some meals. There are restaurants in the area and the tram can get you around town quite easily. We had a train out early in the morning so we appreciated its location. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
