Studio hotel, delivers what is needed
lucianb320on 09/07/2017 22:00Good location for the CHU Brabois university campus: halfway between that and the center. Close to the Match supermarket. Big room with all necessary amenities (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine, cutlery); it was very hot for a few days so air conditioning and more frequent bedding changes would have helped, but this is atypical weather for Nancy so it's not really the property's fault. Some dust under the bed, cleaning might be more thorough.
Just right for a short or long business trip
andrew_halfacreon 03/07/2017 10:48Clean, safe, reasonable food choices. A basic apartment - like a studio flat - with everything needed to base yourself for a short or long business trip. Rooms get quite hot though. Nice to find a corkscrew.
Thiefs!
Bart Ton 20/04/2016 23:04Don't go here, you will be ripped off. We spent here one night and paid in advance. Seemed when I had a look at my credit card reports one month later, they charged over €300! They paid me back in the end, but still.. if I hadn't noticed.. This is just NOT acceptable!
Great location, great room, great price
Adam Gon 27/10/2015 03:22"Appart'Hotel" means this is a cross between an apartment and a hotel, and quite suitable for a long stay. I was attending a conference at INRIA, and this place was a very pleasant week long stay.
The studios have a small kitchenette with dishes and a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot; a small dining table; a living room with desk and TV; and a bed in a studio arrangement, so the space was quite large. Better yet, this is located right across from the Vèlodrome tram stop, so it is very easy to get to and from downtown Nancy. There are also two restaurants downstairs (both good), a grocery store close by, and of course the University all within easy walking distance.
The room was very clean and the property secured via access card. The one thing to look out for is there is no one on duty during the weekends, so don't lose your card.
And Internet service was fast! As I mentioned I was visiting INRIA so it was very nice to get 100Mbps while working on my presentation. I watched movies very night on Netflix with no troubles.
For just €50 a night, this was a great bargain! I will definitely look for "Appart'Hotels" any time I stay in France!
Won't recommend!!!
Atreyee2014on 11/07/2014 14:57Although it is far from the city centre, I did not consider this as a problem because it was close to my workplace and the tram stop is just at the doorstep. There is indeed noise --- you can't keep your window open and they have very shabby narrow corridors. I stayed there for two months. When I entered the apartment, there were *hairs* on the bed, the tray containing spoons and knives, and even on the micro-oven bowl. The cooking pan provided had stains. The floor was also not properly cleaned. But when I left the room, they made me pay 57 Euros saying that the dishes are not clean. I tried to explain that the cooking pan already had stains. But who cared! They cleaned the room two days before I had left. Still they found the bathroom floor unclean on one corner (there was *a hair*) and that made me eligible for such a huge amount of fine. And the Front Desk Manager told me it is huge because they have to pay the same to the cleaning staffs. Then perhaps it is strange that a cleaning staff checks your room (at least in my case the one who used to clean the room checked it and she was alone!). I was provided with less number of towels once, during the next cleaning was enquired about that, and then there were several crosschecks. The biggest mistake I made was by not knowing French. It was really difficult to communicate with the staff there. The Front Desk was fine except for the fact that upon arrival the Front Office Manager explained me the contract and said it costs me 30 Euros if I lose the key but never mentioned there is a charge for not informing the reception 7 days ahead of leaving. So I was late by 3 days in informing. At least they considered me with that. Thanks to them. I have been to other 'Apartment Hotels' in France and have much better experience.
