Wonderful cozy hotel, great location near shops, restaurants, transportation, everything!
jenbD41HAon 29/06/2017 14:09The location is excellent, near HomePlus, the bus terminal, bathhouse, taxi stands, restaurants etc. My nine year old loved the breakfast, toast with butter and marmalade, and milk for her. Coffee, hard boiled eggs, orange juice a few fresh tomatoes, and a little fruit cocktail for me. There is also cereal and salad makings, and "juk".
One of the older reviews mentioned that there was no hair dryer--I'm happy to say that the rooms now do have hair dryers (I stayed in 2 of the rooms) and really nice bathrooms too! They include soap, nice shampoo and bodywash, toothbrushes, and full bath sized towels as well. The in-room water heater pot came in handy when we were tired and wanted to eat udon in the room--just boiled some water and added to the cup noodles and done.
The staff is also very nice--especially the woman who welcomed me at 6pm, and generally made my stay wonderful each of the 3 days of my stay (she was mostly there late afternoons and evenings. I will definitely return to this hotel if I return to Pohang.
Great hotel by Bus terminal
F00D_M0NSTAon 01/06/2017 12:07Stayed 3 nights, hotel is 5 minute walking distance from pohang bus terminal. Very convenient and near everything you need. Easy to find as well. Staff was very polite and spoke English. Milly was very attentive, friendly, and nice. Free small breakfast in the morning ( coffee, fruits, eggs). Rooms were clean, a/c worked good, and showers worked well. Would book again and recommend to others.

JoeyforFitnesson 03/06/2016 10:54stay for 5 days, excellent services, early check-in,late check-out, staffs are very helpful and friendly. 10mins walk will get you to almost everythings you need,7mins walk to Pohang Bus terminal/ department store...clean room, comfortable bed and good foods surrounding the hotel.
One of my favorite hotel in Po-Hang

I know this hotel is not special.
But why I love this hotel? because,
1) They are always nice to visitor.
2) This hotel is conveniently near the Po-hang terminal.
3) There is a department store near this hotel.
4) If you want to experience Ondol(Korean floor heating system),
I recommend staying this hotel.

Another Great Overnighter
Roy Zon 30/05/2014 02:10Upon entering my room, I found a hotel welcome stating "The Appletree is not a magnificent hotel. But we offer clean rooms and a smile." I chuckled as I think there may have been a little loss in translation. They were right - it wasn't magnificent, but it was perfectly fine. The small room was very clean and comfortable. The woman at the reception desk could not have been more friendly and helpful. They served a simple continental breakfast in the lobby. While I was only there one night, the Appletree will definitely have my business on my next trip to Pohang. There was a lot of adjacent road construction, so it was a bit tricky finding the hotel - but it was not a detractor.
