This is a lovely Family run hotel SO if your want to be waited on hand and foot this NOT the place for you. The daughter and son in-law are very pleasant as is there well spoken son who does some of the bar work (€2 for bottled beer) and helps his mother with the hotel chores.
The owner of the hotel is like staying with your Grandparents, means the best for you but doesn't want his things messed with. Along as you understand that then all will be fine. He works on a slow pace if you want a snack for lunch then you need to order at breakfast or expect to wait an hour or two.
Then rooms are very clean and tidy and do have air conditioning for an extra charge.
Beds are firm with clean linen twice a week and clean towels when needed.
All rooms have a balcony with a sea view nearly (room4) .
Dinning and breakfast area are again clean with the ability to sit outside looking over the lovely bay of Apraos and Albania. Breakfast consists of Hot tea/coffee, cold meats/cheese,boiled eggs, croissants, chocolate spread, jams, bread, cornflakes, orange drink and milk.
There is a set menus for the week,so not much choice.(it is what it is) we had the BBQ on Sunday hosted by the owner "Costas" (Grandad) and it was very nice. Starter, main and dessert for €13. The rest of the week we eat out at the many restaurants in Kassiopi, we really enjoyed the Kyma seafood restaurant at the far end of the harbour. Excellent price and very attentive. If you just want a burger the "The Square" would be a good choice for value and taste and also restaurant no:7 excellent pork chop.
The pool at the hotel is excellent, clean with a very shallow end for toddlers. Loungers and a bar (under construction).
Overall if you expecting the Ritz and night life then this is not the hotel for you. But if you want the simple but clean and a very peaceful then you've picked the right place.
We hired a quad bike from "Top Gear" (as four wheels on the floor is better than two on these roads, we did see two accidents and they where scooters)
Personally if you don't know much about bikes I'd stay clear and hire quad or buggy there are plenty of hire shops so shop around,Take a walk into Kassiopi and look before you hire.
Boat hire for the day is expensive in Kassiopi (€170) but if you travel to see the The White House (Durrells) then there Boat hire is €70 for the day,Plus petrol upon your return.
We did day trips to Sadiri, paliokatrisa, corfu town all easily done by quad.
And also a two hour horse ride lead by the lovely Sally of "Trail riders" though the country side. €45. (Not bad considering the government take 54% tax).
Overall lovely part of Corfu to visit highly recommended.
Firstly don't read the bad reviews first there is nothing bad about this hotel. Costa and maddie work hard to make your holiday a good one. Very clean, breakfast fresh, they made us so welcome, we just got back from a 10 nights stay, the pool is lovely and the views are spectacular . The beach is shallow and ideal for kids, Costa friend who helps out was great couldn't do enough for us even went to supermarket for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the area is lovely and peaceful
Small family run hotel by Costas and Maddi. Lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. Continental breakfast which was fresh every morning. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Thank you both for a lovely stay. Tracey and Neil x
Really nice and friendly staff, beautiful view, clean rooms, good pool. we love it! good beaches are near, a big one with sand and some little with amasing rocks. With a quad or motorcycle you can go everywhere.
What a beautiful beach, nice and relaxing. The sea was warm and very clean you could walk out for ages and still only waist height. Sun beds were chargeable but only cost 7 euro for two beds. The restaurant was nice but they don't do snacks only full meals so a bit disappointing when you just want something small to eat. You do need to visit this place as it is a lovely beach.
