Just returned from this hotel after a week`s stay and can honestly say the customer service levels provided by the staff are exceptional. This was a last minute break through Jet2.com and exceeded our expectations. The hotel has been completely renovated and is now cool and sophisticated with a wonderful lack of children! Barcelona is only an hour away and the the beach 5 mins with good walks in both directions along the sea front. Malgrat not the prettiest but lots to see and do in the vicinity. Gerona airport only 30-40 minutes away by coach transfer. Special mention to Miquel who loves everything 80`s! Would return to this hotel without hesitation. Seems Jet2 are not using next year which is a shame! Well done to the ALL the team at the Aqua, seldom I give such a glowing review.Thank you for a great week!

Best Hotel In Malgrat

Booked last minute with Jet2, we booked this hotel because it was adults only.
Having been to Malgrat about 15 years ago, knew it was a cosmopolitan Spanish resort with mainly Dutch, German and French tourists and a few British and Italians along with the local Spanish.
Quick check in, straight to our room, lovely on the 6th floor (they class the 7th as penthouses as these are on the top floor). Comfy bed, good powerful shower, free safe and air con, flatscreen tv and a balcony. We were facing the car park, not an issue for us as it was quiet in the evenings. You only need to push the door card halfway into the slot to get the electric to come on.
We were half board, lots of food choice, all was lovely, never had to queue to be seated. No real dress code in the evening, I wore smart shorts but some lads had normal ones. Food times, breakfast 7-10, evening meal 7.30-9-30.
Swimming pool was nice too, never had a problem getting sunbeds or parasols and we popped down straight after breakfast , about half 9ish. The misses loved the aqua aerobics classes at 12.
If you book for over 4 nights, the spa is free, we used both the swimming pool and the gym, very good facilities.
Day trips, you can go to Girona( where they film game of thrones) and Barcelona for 5 euros each way using the local train which is a 5 minute walk away. Girona is a hidden jewel. Beautiful.
Sunbeds and parasols are 5 euros each, expensive so loads of people where just buying a parasol and beech matts from the shops and then giving them away to others at the end of the holiday.
A few big supermarkets near buy as well.
Its a 15 minute walk into Santa Susanna, a more upmarket resort with another Aqua hotel but we stayed at the Malgrat one as it was adults only, nice and quiet.
All in all, we would definitely stay here again, the staff both on reception, the animation team, maids and the restaurant crew were very polite and always had a smile on their faces. We emailed the hotel just before we came out with a few questions and Monica replied within an hour, really good customer service.
Enjoy the Aqua and Malgrat, we did.

Lovely modern hotel

Stayed here for 1 week with my fiancé and we had a great time and it was nice and relaxing. The hotel had just been refurbished and is very clean. The staff cannot do enough for you and always smiling. It was great staying at an adults only hotel with no children running about. Rooms were cleaned daily and restaurant was good and always something to eat but I think it would be good to vary the options slightly. The spa was amazing and I would recommend trying it. My only complaint about this hotel would be lack of irons, 5 out of 6 times we asked for an iron none were available and no one ever called the room to say that one had became free. I would suggest when lending the irons out you ask for them back within the hour or so to make it fair for others or buy more irons. We will be back and thanks again

Stayed here for 7 nights . A very good hotel very clean and quality of food in restaurant is good . Staff are very freindly and work long and hard 👍. On another note please buy some irons and iron boards for the rooms came down to reception serval times and none available . Try the spa absolutely perfect thanks again

Fabulous stay

Fabulous stay at the Silhouette. Always enough sun loungers and from previous reviews there looks like an ample increase in umbrellas - enough round the pool areas. Quiet and chilled vibe which is great and enough space for everyone to sit and relax. Lots of space around pools too. Beach very close and all the amenities - shops, bars and restaurants. Rooms were lovely and clean. Safety deposit box free of charge and beach towels you pay a deposit but get it back when they're returned.

Breakfast was the only meal we ate in hotel and this was extensive and of a high quality. Did not use the spa facilities and did not go to see what these were like.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone it is a cut above the other hotels in the area. Thank you silhouette!
