Cozy Apartment With a View

I reserved this hotel thinking I would have a regular hotel room and ended up with a one bedroom apartment! It was very clean and well appointed with a kitchen supplied with dishes, pots and pans, and all the equipment to make a meal and serve it up. It also included a microwave and dishwasher.
The apartment was spacious and so cozy I didn't want to leave. The living room has a working fireplace and is a special bonus.
My apartment was on the second floor so I had a beautiful view of the ocean and the pier. The deck was amazing.
The pool and hot tub is well kept and there are outdoor grills for use. Very nice for spending time outside.
The landscaping around the property was just beautiful!
I felt very safe while staying here. The property is well secured, requiring key access to enter at ground level and at the apartment doors.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really couldn't ask for more from a vacation rental.
If I had anything negative to comment on, it would be the bed, which was pretty lumpy. Aquamarine Villas is pretty close to the railroad tracks so there was noise from the trains, but it wasn't too bad. The AmTrak has short trains and they passed by quickly, so the noise is minimal.
All in all, the apartment at Aquamarine Villas totally made my trip most excellent and I received much more than I expected, and just a block away from the ocean! I would recommend this rental 100%!

Super Property - Terrible Noise

The apartment was great, spacious and in super condition. Great shower and bathroom with a big living area. Secure parking which was wonderful, small pool and hot tub in the grounds which I didn't use. One MAJOR drawback is the location, the beach is terrible at this stretch of beach - rocky, it's sandy 15 mins away. Biggest issue is the noise from trains who BLAST their horns at all hours and will wipe out any chance of a good nights sleep. Apart from the trains it's brilliant.

This is an established timeshare. 2 bedroom unit is very good for family or 2 couples. One block from the beach blocks the view. Pool and hot tub small. Beach rocky and not nice to walk. 15 min walk to pier. Be prepared for a very moist environment as trains passing frequently and blow horn is very annoying. Good base to see San Diego and LA and surrounding area. Not as good to hang out. Local harbour very nice.

Loved the well appointed room. I believe it was room 1.. Looked to be completely renovated recently. Very clean. Nice deck. Corner room facing street but Ocean view from deck. about 1 block to walk to beach and a nice approx 1 mile to pier. The landscape was beautiful. Small resort but we loved it. Parking garage locked and covered.

Love it but can't ever get another reservation always booked up no matter what day or month it is. Train noise and stairs were a little hard to deal with 3 flights carrying heavy luggage was a trip LOL but the amenities were awesome just bring your toothbrush
