What People are saying

Good

Ben Mon 28/08/2017 22:41

The rooms were very nice, the pool is nice but could be a bit bigger (they don't allow floats or balls in there though) the entertainment isn't great, the food is alright but not enough variety for British people, as my vegetarian mum was stuck with salad for a week.

AVOID FISH NIGHT! IT'S HORRIBLE!

The staff were alright but we got angry when the receptionist told someone on the phone that the hotel had lots of food for vegetarians, which it really doesn't. It should also be said that they make you pay for ice cream, and most people in the hotel are French. If you want a more British hotel, try Oasis next door.

Not a 4* hotel

Lucy Hon 27/08/2017 15:31

booked this as it was a 4* hotel and after reading the reveiws felt quite happy in booking....first mistake
I don't know what other guests were seeing but i couldn't have disagreed more.
Having worked in customer services all my working life i know what i like to receive and this hotel delivered none of that.
Reception.
On arrival was just given our key cards and pointed in the direction of the lift, no smile no enjoy your stay.
Room.
rooms cleaned daily but need attention to detail dust under the beds , bathroom very spacious lovely walk in shower with shampoo and body wash supplied.
safe and fridge you had to pay in total 49euros with a 20euro deposit on top . rather steep these have been free everywhere else we have stayed.
plug sockets none existent tv plugged into 1 and the other in bathroom and the only other one we could find was broken. now we all know 3 people sharing with tablets phones cameras etc thats going to be a bit hard.
Dining Room
all week we had one lady( Lourdette) who actually acknowledge we were there the rest acted like you were a mere irritation and the quicker they got you out of there the better.
even though we were in the first few in the dining room the food was always tepid , when i mentioned this was told "there is a microwave" come on you don't expect that from a 4* hotel ,choice of food was very lacking unless you liked fish.
If you do happen to have a drink in here make sure you pay at the desk before you leave the dining room , as on your next visit you will be pounced upon by the maitre d demanding payment , maybe informing customers when ordering may save embarrassing your customers at a later date.
Pool Bar
As it was the height of the season we expected this to be open every day but no only opened on the Tuesday.
But saying that very nice friendly man very few and far between.
Spa
nice area but although states no under 16's the children were running amuck unsupervised .Dangerous in my opinion children sitting in a sauna...am i wrong ?
Communal area's need a good clean dust on chair frames glass cabinet tops etc.
over all a very disappointing visit , staff need to be retrained on how to interact and actually smile at there customers for myself and party we would not recommend this hotel nor would we return.

Better than I expected

We chose this hotel because it was the only one available and had a good score, but the photos of the hotel seemed awful to me.
When I got here, I discovered a nice hotel, pretty lounge and pool area, the staff at the front desk so helpful and amazing!
My room was very confortable, clean, an interesting seashell theme on the walls. A lot prettier than I expected from the hotel's photos. The bathroom very spacious and well equiped.
The breakfast and dinner buffets serve a variety of option each day, not too much but more than enough.
The distance from the beach is a 5-minute walk and from the old village like 15.
The balcons look cheap and could be improved.

Great hotel for the price

Just returned from a week here. The hotel is located close to most things and is in the quieter bit of Lloret which is a big positive. About 7 mins to Fenals beach which was very nice. Check in smooth even though we arrived early, although the Thomson rep nearly took us into the all inclusive hotel next door along with the rest of whole coach load of people.

Given initially a first floor street view room which wasn't ideal with the traffic noise so we paid to upgrade to a pool view, which was much better. Fridge was extra too which was disappointing although we were aware of that before we arrived - just include it in the price!

Plenty of supermarkets,ATMs etc nearby. Didn't find any great restaurants to recommend but the hotel food was good with a lot of choice so didn't go out that often. Can suggest avoiding the Planiol restauraunt on the sea front if you have a baby - never had such a rude experience apart from one member of staff - I'll review that separately.

Credit to the staff of the hotel especially the maids - room spotless every day and very friendly. Lourdes and Jaime in the restaurant stood out for great customer service and being great with the little one too. All the staff work very long hours and are a credit to the hotel.

Plenty of sunbeds available as not many people were selfish with reserving them, just used as and when needed so this made for a relaxing experience.

Didn't sample the entertainment much at night as everything was late. That is the one suggestion I would make - start dinner and the entertainment an hour or so earlier as it was a bit late for our little one to have the mini disco starting at 9!

I can recommend the coastal walk but definitely not with a pram, as we found when we were half way round to be greeting with hundreds of steps! Great views from up at the Castle though.

All in all a good trip and we would return.

Graet hotel in perfect poition

We visited this hotel the first week of the school holidays...myself my husband and our 12 year old daughter.
We stayed in a triple room...which was rather "snug" but neverless immaculately clean with a lovely modern bathroom. Perfectly adequate for the amount of time we spent in there.
The first morning we were in awe....we went from breakfast at 07.45am ...and only 3 towels around the sunbeds!!!...Never before in the history of our holidays in school holidays has this happened.... Impressive!
Even when we went to the beach at Fenals one morning (far too crowded, cramped and noisy!) when we got back at 10.45am lots of beds still free!
(One reason could be that the sun doesnt hit the pool area until approx 10.30am!)
We were on half board and the food was fine...ok not a la carte but not cafe standard either! All three of us never had a problem finding something that we really enjoyed.
Service was excellent and no need to queue....the restaurant seemed very organised.

Drinks around the pool were surprizingly inexpensive and the jugs of sangria were lovely! My daughter loved the massive selection of slush iced drinks!
Snacks around the pool were also very reasonably priced.
Never a queue and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Evening entertainment was a mixed bag of good to terrible!

We walked into Lloret each night (about 10 minutes) ...if you like handbags, bikinis and sandals then a good place to find some bargains. Very buzzing place with lots going on and great to people watch.
A litre jug of sangia about £7...so good prices too.

Very surprized with this holiday...we chose Lloret for our 12 year old as we believed she would really enjoy the buzz and I personally expected to be glad to come home but actually thoroughly had an amazing time!
