We have just returned from this great holiday and hotel. Where to start...! First impression when we arrived was the complex is in an immaculate condition from the buildings to the gardens. We were greeted by the fantastic reception staff ( Thanks Lizzy!) who offered us sandwiches as we arrived late in the evening and missed the restaurant times.. We were shown into our first floor family apartment which was lovely but we wanted a ground floor family room , we asked to be moved and Lizzy very kindly moved us the very next day, nothing is too difficult and the staff are really happy to help.
Now onto the food.... Its great there is so much to choose from , the kitchen staff are the un sung heroes in my opinion, always plenty to choose from and I’m a fussy eater!.
The main restaurant by the pool is great but a little tip …but keep it amongst yourself.... Use the Luna Rosa restaurant for Breakfast and Lunch, its much quieter, when we first used it we initially thought it was shut but hardly anyone uses it don’t know why people do not use it, it’s much better than the main one I mean yes you have to walk an extra 2 mins from the pool but would recommend this....
The pools are great very clean and yes the hotel has a no sunbed reservation policy but we all do it, I didn’t want my holiday to consist of getting up early but if you don’t by 0900 most of them have gone, but plenty on the beech.
The Beech is also excellent... The team flattens the sand each morning with a small tractor to ensure the sand is nice and ready for you.. also and I couldn’t believe my eyes, in the early morning they drag a trailer to remove the seaweed so that’s also nice and clear ready for you, (talk about attention to detail!)
The bar staff are great also taking your drink orders on the sunbeds!
We also used the kids club from 3pm - 5.30pm... this small team is fantastic, no issues leaving my 3 & 7 year old with them, I would like to mention "PETRA" who my 3 year old daughter fell in love with. Petra was so kind and made us all feel very welcome. Thanks Petra! Or Petrol as Rosie says!
We went on a couple of trips, I do recommend the Paxos boat trip!
All in all this is a FANTASTIC hotel and would highly recommend to families and even couples, last tip, as other people have said, pay the 50-70 euros and get a private transfer from the airport, it really does start your holiday.
Thanks again Mayor Capo, we shall be returning without any hesitation.
I visited this hotel in July and all I can say is WOW..this is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in! I have stayed in a 5star hotel in barbados and this far excelled that The location is amazing, the rooms are personal and spotlessly clean, the beach is on your doorstep, there are two swimming pools, the staff all go the extra mile, the food is the best I have ever had..if I could give 6 stars for this hotel then I would..I will definitely come back and have told many people about this place..thank you to all the staff at capo di corfu :-)
Fantastic place, very friendly and competent staff (thank you!), the best room view we have ever had, tasty cuisine. Kids club activities of a very broad spectrum and full of clever entertainments. Animators team dedicated to the work - children of all age gropus, including adolescents, were busy with them almost the whole day long. We regretted to leave this place. We wish to come there again.
Although I have never written a review before I thought Capo really deserved it. A great hotel that really ticked the boxes. Although we were in the minority from Ireland we felt very welcome. With the true test being the kids they had a ball with a special mention to Laticia and Victor who as part of the kids club and entertainment made their holiday. For our second week they were the only English speaking kids there but they still wanted to go each day which is a testament to the staff. All of the staff were friendly and Lizzy on reception couldn't have been more helpful.
The grounds are immaculate and beautifully presented throughout the complex. The Food was always to a high standard and although aimed at the French/German pallet there was always a great variety. The weather was very hot but the air conditioning throughout the complex was superb and it always cooled down in the evening.
A super place that we would highly recommend.
This is a bit of a late post as we stayed June 2017 at Mayor Capo Di Corfu. The hotel is set in wonderful well kept grounds by the beach, what surprised us the most was the stunning view over to Greece mainland. The sun beds are very comfortable and the sea is clean but very shallow for a considerable distance. We had a family suit which had an upstairs bedroom and one downstairs with a living room, it was well appointed with all the newest equipment and it was cleaned every day. The food was very good, lots of choice, there are also two restaurants to choose from. All of the staff were very pleasant and friendly, the roof bar staff especially and the reception staff were also very helpful. For a relaxing week away doing not much else than eat, drink and sun bathe it was the perfect spot, would definitely go again.
