Excellent all round resort

There was a group of 18 of us consisting of 4 families and this resort catered for every single one of us. The rooms were spot on for cleanliness and space. The cleaning staff were very friendly and polite and always had a good morning for you. The amount and location of the pools were excellent and we stationed ourselves in the relaxation pool which was located right outside our apartment block. The pool bar stocked a variety of drinks and we had great delight in trying them all and a big shout out to Roland, a pool barman, who was fantastic and always made us brilliant cocktails. The two restaurants we frequented were again situated brilliantly for where our room was. The food was excellent and there was always a good variety. One little hint in peak times we found that the Italian restaurant wasn't as busy as the main one and the pizza they do was absolutely fantastic. The snack bar was good if you fancied a quick bite to eat although it would have been nice to have another snack bar located in the middle of the resort rather than up one end also this goes for the free ice cream station. Again the staff were always polite and nothing was too much for them. The evening entertainment was OK, the highlight was The Lord of The Dance show and the animation team put loads of effort into everything. The beach which was not even two minutes away was excellent and I would recommend going for a long walk along the beach then up to the dunes. And look out for the sexy donut man who walks along the beach selling the biggest donuts I've ever seen. There are several bars, shops and restaurants a five minute walk away if you fancy a change of scenery. One thing was the amount of wasps there were but this is not the hotels fault and they do their best to keep them away from you ie setting traps. The wasps are because of the local vineyards and the staff said that after September most of them disappear. So overall it was a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend it.

After reading some of the reviews was feeling a little apprehensive to say the least . But was pleasantly surprised...
Check in fast , our rooms were clean and spacious , water in the fridge on arrival and topped up throughout the week .
Pools are lovely you do have to put towels out if you want a bed (we would do this just before 8am) , beach fantastic yes it is 7 euros for beds but you don't have to use them, we just used towels instead.
Food good, plenty of choice. Restaurants clean.
Staff friendly enough . Entertainment good especially for children.
There were lots of wasps but can't see what more can be done about it ??
Only small complaint would be lack of hot water at peak times.
Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for one week 21st/28th August 2017. very apprehensive after reading the reviews, but my daughter, granddaughter, and myself had a thoroughly enjoyable week. We had a junior suite/family room two bedrooms and two bathrooms overlooking the sea and countryside, lovely big veranda. Ok so there were a few faults, shower leaked, but someone came fairly quickly, didn't fix it but I think the whole shower needed re-sealing so a bit difficult with people in the room. Also only one light in the bathroom working and blinds at the window refused to come down, no curtains in place just a voile one. we should have complained, but we didn't so our fault. Very clean, room cleaned daily and fresh towels put back. Pools were lovely there were enough sun-beds but people did put towels out early to bag best places at the pools, but you could usually get one somewhere, they all had umbrellas very useful cos its very hot. we could not fault the food, plenty of variety, gorgeous freshly made pizzas, cakes and puddings, ice cream and fresh fruit. We ate in the Italian restaurant mostly but main restaurant was good to. Entertainment was excellent something every night. Beach just a short walk away lovely clear water and shallow enough to walk into. If I have one grumble it's the wasps, they are a terrible nuisance but are part of nature so not much can be done about that. On the whole we had a lovely time and would stay again. One last thing, check-in could be better our room wasn't ready when we arrived we had to wait until nearly 4pm, not good after an early (3am) start and a long plane and coach journey improvement needed! Otherwise happy holiday, granddaughter (7rs) loved it.

Lively resort

We were concerned. Fore going because of some poor reviews and we actually prefer a quieter resort but if you have kids who want a fun holiday this is probably for you. We had a room by the quiet pool and it was much quieter than the main area. There was a lot of maintenance work going on so if your not happy with your room ask to be moved. The staff were friendly, the food was actually very good, typically Greek. The evening entertainment was geared to kids then an adults show, they tried bless them but apart from the opera night was very amateurish, which did sometimes make it hilarious, I particularly enjoyed karaoke night by various nationalities. It is a very multi language resort and busy, the beach is nice. If you want lots of activities especially for the kids and decent food and drink your on a winner. Once they have finished the refurb the rooms will hopefully all be up to a good standard too.

Filthy, tired and very smelly!

Once past the conveniently clean reception, the resort is very tired & worn down. No locks on public loo doors, broken sunbeds, not enough sunbeds, broken umbrellas, chipped pool tiles, foot size open drains inside pool, continuous full bins attracting hundreds of wasps, full restaurants inside (lots of wasps outside), bland same food in both restaurants, rude reception lady kept us waiting 2 hours for our room! Main walk path to beach by block 3 had very bad sewage smell each day – unhealthy for children and has large & fast bikes & motor quad bikes going up and down! Only 1 lifeguard looking after long pool and sea who was seen occasionally. Beach unkept (broken sharp wood) + sunbeds cost to hire. Beautiful sea, pools filthy with sand at bottom. Stray aggressive cats in restaurants begging for food.

Our room was a 2+ room for family of 4 adults. The bathroom had hair in plug hole which was never removed & large bugs! Shower head blocked, husband fixed it for water to come out of main bit, very corroded. Exposed wires. Very small. The back & underneath of the loo was never cleaned in our 10 days. Glad I took toilet wipes! Sink had no trap so sewage smell plagued the room, had to keep bathroom door closed. Mold in one wardrobe, ants inside on floor & on worktop which had eaten through son's T-shirt where BBQ sauce was. Do ants do this? Something did! (Ate out that night) Sheets flipped, not changed as stain still evident by foot of bed. Sheet did not fit main bed, too small and didn't tuck in at sides. Ended up sleeping on mattress. Nice mountain view from balcony but rubbish in adjoining field.

Lots of extras to pay for: beach sun beds and umbrellas (14e per day for 4), decent coffee, all drinks after 11pm, fresh orange juice for breakfast, safe in room (30e for 10 days) so very expensive holiday. We ate out and found a really good restaurant called San Carlos, just 5 minutes away. There are 4 restaurants on site: the European, The Italian (these 2 serve the same food except one has more meat dishes and the other one has pizza which was freshly baked and very good!) then the Seafood Restaurant which we never tried as this was extra. The 4th restuarant is for 'Couples and Singles'. Why, why is there this restaurant at a family resort? Some families ignored the sign and went in as the other restaurants were full.

All the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies I think just have too much to do. The reception staff had a pre programmed answer for everything which was without compassion. We saw many people complaining while we were there.

At the end of our stay we were given room 3135 to shower and change after our 12pm checkout. This room was disgusting. Very disgusting. I'm surprised they let us see/use it. No Air Con, very stale and very smelly. Couldn't stay in there for more than 2 mins so travelled home in swim costume! This room is not on the location signs but it is there on the first floor above the main restaurant, last room on the left along the main corridor to the left.

A good note - saw some really lovely photographs that the talented lady photographer had taken of guests. Really good! Couldn't get our teenage boys to agree to have theirs done with their parents. Our 14 year old had a henna tattoo which he loved. Cannot comment on kids club as our boys were too old but there seemed to be a lot to do.

Definitely not a 4 star resort. Very sad and DO NOT recommend.
