Traditional hotel with restaurant
scientesquodcarboon 14/07/2017 13:05Stayed here for work recently. The hotel room was basic and in the standard German style rather than modern business style. That is, thin duvet, one very soft pillow, no tea or coffee in room. Free wifi was available though. The en suite was also quite basic, with a shower head on a hose over the bathtub. The room looked quite tired, especially the carpet which was stained, but otherwise the room was generally clean. I ate in the restaurant too. The food and service were both good. Breakfast was OK.
Beautiful hotel away from the center
Christian Non 28/06/2017 10:11Nice conference hotel located in a small park. Good service. Good breakfast. Free wifi. Large room. Can reached from Dortmund by local train. Station is close by. If by car there is a large parking lot.
Some renovations needed
albert son 19/02/2017 09:22Was there for two nights and all together it was ok. The rooms were clean and the service was friendly. The breakfast was good, fresh rolls cheese meat fruits...
From the rooms to dinner or breakfast you need to go outside to another building , not so convenient. All together the place is a bit run down, it urgently needs some renovations.
A very good hotel in Castrop
Arihant88on 10/12/2016 06:35We stayed here for the first time and the experience was good. we were here for a month and the hotel staff is kind enough to entertain our requirements. The rooms are small and only good for one person except the suite which is lavish and very good. The hotel doesnot have AC or ceiling fans and hence can get hot during the summers (especially now that Germany is witnessing abnormally hot summers. The hotel provided us with additional standing fans and that solved the problem.
Breakfast spread is decent and the hotel is at walking distance from city center. Enough hotels and shops just a few minutes walk from the hotel
All in all, a good place to stay in Castrop
Beautiful hotel
Gerard Hon 27/10/2016 21:26I stayed here for several days whilst attending a conference in Dortmund. It turned out to be at least half an hour to Dortmund but there are trains that run into Dortmund regularly other than a Sunday.
Very helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location and the national soccer team stay there,so it has a great pedigree.
