First time Up North
MarthaLeinon 17/01/2017 15:16Arcadia House is everything you would expect a B&B to be. Exploring the Lake Michigan shoreline was so breath taking, I want to go back in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Patrice and Greg are wonderful hosts and so informative of the area.
Time travel does exist.
dennis don 02/11/2016 05:15Arcadia, Michigan takes you back a century to a more relaxed period. The bed and breakfast is a wonderful period home with only 4 rooms. The two larger ones have a small balcony overlooking the garden. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach on Lake Michigan. There are hiking trails onl minutes from the B&B. There is a marina, and a fantastic golf course just a few minutes drive. There are quite roads to travel with many small towns. Antique shops, restaurants, canoeing, an Alpaca farm where you can meet the animals up close. The National Sand Dunes park is less than 20 minutes away. We have gone every year for 10 years and always find something new. The breakfast at the B&B are the highlight of yor stay there. They are fantastic.
Inflexible busness practices
Oldhead14on 28/08/2016 23:52We were looking forward to an 8/15-20th stay in Josie's room. We prepaid our room several months in advance. When an unexpected medical emergency required hospitalization plus complicated short term recovery made it unsafe for us to travel to Arcadia, Greg refused to work with us on any adjustment (full, partial or reschedule date). We had no control over the timing or intensity of the medical event. He had our money and his procedures. That's all he cared about. Greg uses a business model that we don't support, Be careful - stuff happens and this B&B will not work with you.
Everything a B&B Should Be!
mlrosthalon 09/07/2016 23:35The moment you enter Arcadia House, you feel relaxed. The innkeepers, Patrice and Greg, are laid back, welcoming and accommodating. Don't leave here without booking a massage with Patrice. Her healing hands will make the difference between a good vacation and an extraordinary one. The rooms are simply and tastefully furnished, the breakfasts delicious and the front porch and garden area provide excellent spaces for reading and relaxing. The town of Arcadia harkens back to a simpler time and the surrounding areas are beautiful and undeveloped.
Best Bed and Breakfast
jleslim24on 06/06/2016 04:39My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights in Josie's Room and it was absolutely lovely. It was exceptionally clean and inviting. We had a foniminal breakfast both mornings. We are definitely going to stay again. The innkeepers/owners are so friendly and kind. On our last day there the innkeepers/owners arranged for a private tour of the local museum (Arcadia Historical Museum because it was not open for the season yet. We would highly recommend staying at the Arcadia Bed and Breakfast.
