It's a nice hotel. It's not 5* luxury and there is no A/C in the rooms but the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The food in the restraunt is great. Me and my fiance really enjoyed or meal there and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Recommended but don't expect too much luxury.
Thank you for your hospitality! The welcome was warm and speedy. We didn't arrive until about 18.30 and went straight up to our rooms. Each room is unique in it's style. Don't get me wrong, they are basic but clean and do the job. We travelled with two other friends and our room was the smallest out of the three. However, we just needed to get our heads down and get clean daily. Be warned there is no AC in the rooms but we did have a fan which helped somewhat. Basic amenities are provided for washing. at 55 EUR a night I wasn't complaining.
They have a 7th floor roof terrace that we took advantage of on both nights (sorry!!) and it had remarkable views across the town.
We had lunch on the Saturday which was delicious. The food was fresh and served quickly and efficiently.
We loved it there and will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family. thank you
The Grand is one of our favourite restaurants. It is located on the Hight Street in Souillac. It is great for drinks and for dining. We have just had yet another fabulous meal. It isn't an extensive menu, but there is something for everyone and all are beautifully prepared and exquisite.
However, the staff, including the owner are just terrific. The are really friendly, helpful and efficient.
Tonight, we had the fois gras, I had the brandade and my wife the Caesar Salad. Just fantastic.
Thank you. We are definitely coming back.
T&A
From the warm welcome to the beautiful location, the views from the roof top terrace and the fine dining, this charming hotel really does offer everything you could need at an incredible price, would gladly stay again
This is a rather pleasant, slightly quirky French provincial hotel; don't expect the facilities to be the same as one of the major chains, and you won't be disappointed. The rooms are pretty basic and functional (in a sort of French provincial hotel way). The main hard product attraction has to be the bar and terrace outside - I've always been a sucker for fairy lights and people watching. The restaurant food is good and there is clearly some pride in local produce.
The most important thing of all, as always, is the staff. I found them to be friendly, approachable and willing. A young man waiting table on the terrace took the time to recommend something local; it crossed my mind that not many 20 year olds in the UK would have knowledge or confidence to do so - always assuming that you could find a 20 year old who cared in the slightest!
I enjoyed my stay. Don't expect too much and enjoy what there is - I did
