Best B&B for the Arena (Roman Amphitheatre)
Whitehalltravelleron 09/07/2016 22:36As we were visiting the Arena for a night at the opera, we wanted accommodation close by and the Arena Inn was perfect, just 10mins walk. If you are going to the Opera, bear in mind that they start at 9pm and could finish after midnight, so you want to be staying closeby or have a car. We saw Aida which ended at 1am! We had a very large room with a king size bed (very comfortable), flat screen tv, air conditioning (a must as the temperatures were above 30 degrees every day!), mini fridge, safe for your valuables, good size bathroom with shower (no bath) but the shower had enough gadgets to keep you occupied, light switch, radio, jets at different levels to massage you. Breakfast was continental (a range of cereals, yoghurts, ham and italian cheeses, breads, jams and fruit etc) to keep you going until lunchtime with the Host on hand to provide you with tea or coffee. The hosts were very friendly. The B&B was very central for other sights in Verona as well and Verona was a lovely city to walk around with everything being in walking distance. If you are arriving from Verona Airport, take the shuttle bus (12 euros for 2 people) from the airport to Verona railway station, then take a taxi from the railway station to the B&B which should come to less than 10 euros. A very long walk with luggage. If you are in Verona for longer than a weekend (like us), we also took the train to Venice and Milan which was very easy to do from Verona station on their high speed trains (which are very smooth and comfortable and cheap compared to trains in the UK).
Excellent location
Alexey Ron 22/04/2016 22:37Great location in a tiny street just near the Arena, ideal for exploring the old city on foot. Nice cozy family atmosphere, very friendly and helpful, you will get all the advice you would need. Big comfortable room, very quiet despite centrally located. Inexpensive public parking not far away. Excellent WiFi.

WineTour69on 06/10/2015 10:21Positively, it's a good central location near to the arena, it was recently built and very clean.
There's no excuse for monastically hard beds and the breakfast was very basic, so poor we brought our own from the supermarket but I don't think they'd have got the hint.
Verona is expensive but there's much better places to stay.

Sam Don 15/02/2015 13:26Once inside the doorway is a tranquil delightful, tastefully decorated bed and breakfast. Beautiful beamed ceilings - clean and comfy beds. Central to all attractions especially the Arena. Breakfast, accompanied by Italian Opera music was so lovely. Owners couldn't do enough for you, friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

Poetic Aon 13/10/2014 21:42My wife and I needed a stop over on our way to Venice. Luckily we were introduced to the Arena Inn. The hosts were kind and the place immaculately clean. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and graciously answered all our questions. Yes, we were just sad we could only stay one night!
