A great hotel in Fortuna

This place is nothing terribly fancy, but is very comfortable and nice. Being in central Fortuna, it was very easy to go out and see the sites of the area. The pool was refreshing and the breakfast was more than adequate. Off street parking was a plus.The bed was comfortable, the Internet adequate and the staff friendly and helpful. Not much more to say. Oh yes, the price was very reasonable!

The food was great and so was the location. The pool was dirty and the bathrooms were kinda poor. I enjoyed that little balcony over the pool. and the wifi sucks. Staff was kinda rude when we misplaced our room key and I don't think they opened the room for us

Okay for a budget hotel, avoid room 1

I'll start with the good stuff: the location in La Fortuna is excellent for dining, as all the restaurants are an easy walk away. The staff was kind and the breakfast excellent. However... I stayed in Room 1 and think it might be the worst room in the hotel. Many if not most of the rooms have balconies, and I wish I had asked for another room. I had some downtime one afternoon when it was raining, and after walking around really just wanted to sit and read my book. My room had no chair and without a balcony ( they are at least somewhat covered) there wasn't a nice place to sit. There is a small rooftop area with some seating that is nice when it is not raining. I really don't understand why the room didn't have a chair. Also the bed was uncomfortable--you could really feel the bedsprings and it was lumpy. The plus side is that it is a very affordable hotel, and it does have air conditioning which some will definitely want.

We were on vacation. The pictures look nothing like the rooms do.

If you have no standards, well then this is the place to stay. There are other places to stay around La Fortuna for the same price or less. This place is a true dump. The mattress have never been replaced I am certain of that. The springs poke through and you can't get a good night sleep. When you wake up, your neck and back will be aching. The pillows are thin and lumpy. There is a horrible smell that surrounds the inside of the complex. The rooms are so small and out of style.

My girlfriend and i stayed at Bromellias for 5 nights and it was a wonderful choice. The staff made you feel welcome and assisted in all of our travel plans. Breakfast service was like dining at a restaurant, fast and delicious.
The rooms were exactly what you pay for. If you're on a budget and want a great place to stay Bromellias is the place.
The highlight of our stay was the hotel kitty. "Gatita" or "KiKi" so friendly and sweet. We loved her so much we bought her wet food, a bowl and a pink collar, so when you visit be sure to share your love with some sweet pets and treats! 😊
