Good location, nice staff, so-so room

Good: location is central to everything, all restaurants are walkable, across from the Independence Park; front desk personnel was always helpful and personable; room was clean, if a bit small; breakfast was fine for those of us who just want coffee and a bit of something light. Overall - decent value for the price.
Downsides: the sheets were a bit "rough" and bed somewhat tired.
Great stay
akbwanderluston 10/07/2017 22:38Overall no problems with the stay! Clean rooms, great common areas and delicious food for dinner with friendly staff. Breakfast was great - they had the best medialunas I've had in Argentina! Didn't use the pool because it was too cold but looked nice. Only complaint is that the wifi was slow but it worked.
Pleasant Hotel
GregandReneaon 22/05/2017 15:04We picked the Argentino Hotel because of the reviews sighted on TripAdvisor. We had an Executive Suite on the 2nd floor and we had no complaints at all. The huge bed was extremely comfortable, TV (almost all in Spanish) and a very large bathroom with a great shower.
The hotel is well located situated opposite the 'Plaza Independecia'. There are many good restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Banking facilities are just a short walk along Espejo Street (heading east)
If you ares considering a winery tour we can strongly recommend 'trout & wine tours'. We will do a separate post for trout and wine, suffice to say it was an exceptional tour.
We stayed in Mendoza for 5 days and the reception staff were attentive. Breakfast consists of pastries, bread, cakes, tea, coffee and juices.
Great staff and location
John Hon 23/04/2017 20:05We stayed five nights at the Hotel Argentino. This is a great location and a very nice hotel. You can easily walk all over downtown Mendoza from the hotel. There are many great restaurants and parks nearby.The staff were superb: very friendly and helpful. The lobby is bright and clean with a very nice restaurant and lots of little areas to sit. The deck and pool are likewise quite nice. The continental breakfast was very good, but sometimes the staff had difficulty keeping up with the number of people. Food ran low and tables had not been cleared yet. This only happened once. If you are a first time visitor, you might want to consider upgrading to a room with a view. We were on the first floor (piso baja, PB) and our window looked out onto the pool and deck. Since there were occasionally people out there we did not open our curtains. It is also a little noisy when people are using the pool or deck. We ate lunch in the restaurant one day and it was really good. There is also a small bar where you can get a glass of wine at a very reasonable price. All in all, it is a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
Cute hotel in a great location
Cathy Kon 27/02/2017 07:39Lovely amenities with tasty breakfast, wonderful friendly hotel staff eager to assist and fabulous night markets at the Plaza Independencia across the road. I felt safe travelling on my own & enjoyed my time immensely in Mendoza. Make sure you try the Lemon sorbet with Dulce de Leche ice cream at Famigla Perin. Heaven!
