The food was catastrophical, no seasoning, overcooked, (meat undercooked at times, burnt on the surface but pink on the inside). All pasta was goo and had no texture to it, just completely overcooked, bread hard and felt old, the yoghurt was like play-doh well too fat and almost solid. They use rests from the other days to make weird meals, how can you name plain rice and corn as a risotto? Every day there is fish croquettes, but what should you eat to it? No compliments for it. The food is said to be cretan but would rather be named as bad-an. Many guests have been talked to and they have expressed the same feelings in ways, us guests between. The food was varied but still variation has no meaning if it all tastes bad. You can see in the restaurants people frothing in fruit probably because they felt it was the most tasty way to try get a feeling of fullness in their stomachs.
And 4 star rating? Please, spend a week in this hotel and see for yourself if these four stars really are 2x2 or a true 4 star hotel, It really isn't close in any way to being one. Questionable four star furniture in the dining room as well as cutlery and glasses, all inlcusive juices is horribly diluted with water, no taste. As well as the sodas, bad taste. Everything by the pool bar is served in plastic throwaway glasses, they probably waste at least 100 glasses+ every day, very environmental and also truly truly classy as a four star hotel. And don't press them too hard they will break since they are such trash. The bathroom was left with a window open during the night, approximately 20 different bugs were left for dead in the bathroom, I made an experiment, leaving them there to see if the maid would clean them, but no, they were left there for the entire week, by the sink, by the shower, the floor, everywhere. Also the bathroom, what kind of shwoer was that? it only had one setting with the shower head to the wall since it had been broken a long time ago and also the shower curtains was 50cm too long leaving them wet and never to dry at all, leaving a horrendous smell of old watery gloves during the winter. The room was cleaned every other day though, beds were made which was one positive thing. The sandwiches served in the poolbar was dry without butter and old. They are said to be serving ''snacks'' there but the only thing foud was these old sandwiches, melted ice cream and cut down fruit in plastic glasses with plastic spoons, also such waste of plastic, why not buy hard-plastic glasses to dish instead? The receptionists did not ever say hello, good morning, good night or anything, the only smile they had was saying goodbye when we leaved for our flight home, happy to see us go and made money off of us. The beach has no toilet and an old duct-taped repaired shower that was colder than antarctis, not very attractive beach as well. The third floor of the hotel felt like an underground parking space, really bad.
The only good thing about this trip was the sunshine and going home. Don't ever go here, not even out of curiosity for how bad this place was. Save your money!
Visited this hotel from 9th to 23rd of August as a party of 3 adults and 4 children. We were made to feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door. All of the staff were very attentive and the Hotel Manager was extremely helpful with any of our queries with regards to our stay. The food was great as an all inclusive package and the rooms are spacious and clean. It was a nice surprise to receive a complimentary massage in the spa.
The hotel is small which is great which means you get a better level of service. Vivi and George in the restaurant and Ismail and Maria at the pool bar were very good at looking after us.
Would definitely return for another holiday.
Reviews of the most positive!! We liked literally everything: good a variety of food in the restaurant, attentive the ratio of the staff. Good spacious room with a balcony and beautiful views of the sea and the sun-drenched mountains. Every week was party with dj and absolute hits! All vacationers as a gift from the hotel free massage in spa area... Beach clean, bus goes on schedule. We in full delight, will definitely be back!
Fantastic relaxing holiday, couldn't fault it. All of the staff are very helpful. The views are outstanding. The food covers everyone's tastes and is really nice. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We had only 7 days at the Arion Palace Hotel, and we wish we had more time. We arrived at mid night to a very warm welcome. After checking in the night receptionist offered us some food which was a plate of various meats and pastas with salad and bread, fruit and beer, wine or water. Just what we needed and it was lovely. Our room was excellent, very spacious and very clean with soap and fresh smelling towels and a breath taking view.
The food at breakfast was both cooked and continental.
The hotel was kept in top condition, the pool area was very clean, the bar was manned from 10.00 till 23.00. As this is an all inclusive hotel the free drinks were very good, covering all top spirits and a good beer, they even had cock tails on the all inclusive deal. They only allowed plastic cups round the pool area which was good for safety precaution. There were plenty of bins to dispose into.On various evenings t they put entertainment on, we had a belly dancer who was very good with a disco to finish off on one of the evenings we were there which was very good.
The staff, well they could not do enough for you, always friendly and if you needed anything they would help. The manager, we don't think he slept, he was on site all the time, checking every thing and he took the time to talk to the residence. One time during dinner the manager came over to us and asked us to try some new vegetables he was looking to introduce to the menu organic from there own garden. One point to take in is that the manager had the same food as the residence and he even sat in the restaurant with us, which tells me the kitchens are clean.
On our last day we had a late pick up at 17.00. The time to vacate the room was 12.00 and the manager sorted out a room for us to freshen up before our trip. Again nothings too much trouble.
The only down side to the Arion Palace is its a 2 hour trip from the airport but its well worth it. We will defiantly be going back.
