It was ok. For family and espicaly kids it was great. The staff realy nice. But ... and espicaly for the hotel price, few importnat points: 1.The food: some dishes are rycyceld: for example the salt of the evening is from the veg of the noon. Any extra costs money in the snack bar. And the cleaning is not perfect. It is comfi but not great.

3rd time trip and looking forward to the 4th!

The title sums it up! Now time to flesh it out.

We're a family of four including 2 teenagers! In addition, one of us is vegan.

This could be seen by some establishments as an issue but not to Arminda. I had contacted the hotel in advance to give them some warning and they were more than happy to do special meals on request provided that we told them in the morning what was required for the evening meals. In addition there was also soya milk available on request from the kitchen. Therefore if anyone in your party has a special dietary need, just ask if Arminda can help you!

For lunches and dinner there were always plenty of salads and fresh fruit to choose from. For the rest of the family there was always plenty of choice and extra seasoning is also available in the restaurant if you want it. It should also be noted that the restaurant has been updated over the last 12 months and now has a lovely modern feel to it.

This hotel is lovely in a very laid back way. It has a welcoming and relaxed feel to it. The staff are always a delight especially when you take the time to stop and have a chat with them!

The clientele is very multicultural (we counted at least 10 different nationalities on our latest visit) and therefore if you're looking for somewhere that has a high English bias, this may not be the place for you.

The 3 pools are great. The top pool (by the snack bar) is quite calm; the middle pool is where the activities such as aqua gym and water polo take place and then there is also the water park.

With the introduction of the water park in 2016, you do find that that pool gets particularly noisy with kids having fun but that's what it's there for! If you're down in the water park you do notice the building work that's going on next door however there's nothing that Arminda can do about that and neither should you allow it to hinder your decision to stay here.

There is access to the beach and yes if you want sunbeds and parasols you will have to fork out for them. If you're happy with your towel on the sand, there's no charge. Being down on the beach does mean that you can benefit from the breeze that blows across from Hersonisoss (including the party music from Star Beach) which you don't always get beside the pools.

The rooms are lovely and clean with air conditioning which is a necessity in July and August! Ours was not noisy even though we faced out onto the road. On our first visit we were in room 101 which was very near the snack bar and had no problem with noise there either.

The hotel also offers a kids club for 6 days a week and consequently the number of families with young children is increasing. The Animation Team who run the kids club, the pool side activities and evening events do a great job and can communicate brilliantly in many languages. Well done guys!

We know that Arminda won't be to everyone's cup of tea, however we love it and can't wait to get back there. If you have an issue with something during your stay, say something and give Arminda the chance to put it right at the time. The owner and staff just want you to have a happy stay with them.

Great stay at Arminda on Crete

Great experience, lots of fun, nice location and very helpful staff. The staff made sure we felt welcome and at home. Any, even the smallest complaint was taken care of immediately. The room was well kept clean and warmly decorated. We had room with relaxing view into the back garden. The animation team was very friendly and making nice day and evening programs. The hotel also organizes a Cretan night with Greek traditional music and Cretan dances. The variety of food was amazing and offered something for every taste. Just in 10 minutes walking distance is Stalis town with great sandy beach shops and restaurants. Great service good atmosphere made our holiday fantastic. We are definitely going back there!

me and a friend of mine spent a week in this hotel and we will never forget it!!!
The room, the staff, the pools and the food are great!
Value for money! Recommended to everyone (not only for families)!!!

We were there 2 couples the hotel is nice situated in middle of 2 places chersonissos and stalida ,food was very good ,we never tried all inclusive drinks cause we liked cocktails up in the snack bar ,the guy working there in the afternoon is super super friendly and professional with his job ,generally all the staff is friendly...Try mojitos ,caipis,coladas !!!
