Not as bad as some peoples comments in my experiense
whitelionHaarlemon 30/08/2015 08:16After reading the comments of other travellers I already was sorry that I had booked. In our experience it is not as bad as some say. Parking is difficult when you arrive in the evening but no problem when you arrive in the afternoon. Our room and the bathroom was clean. Of course this is not a five star modern hotel but what do you expect for these prices.
Budget hotel
Eva Don 03/08/2015 21:44The room was a bit cold and humid. Parking wasn't easy to find because the area around the hotel is quite densely populated so there is the according number of cars as well. Easy to find. The furniture were quite old.
Time for renovation
Nicolet Don 22/12/2014 00:19Stayed in this hotel for the 'weihnachtsmarkten' with a friend. And I must say that the man at the reception was really friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to the S-bahn with a good connection to downtown Cologne.
The hotel itself unfortunately desperately needs updating. The beds where old and not the most comfy ones and the linnen had holes in them. The bathroom looked like my grandmothers in the 80's and the showerholder and screen where broken (which can make washing your hair while keeping the towel dry challenging).Which also amazed me is the lack of free wifi for its guests, which is common in almost every other hotel. This might be a good choice if you want a cheaper stay, unfortunately their prices equal the higher range hotels in the area. So although the staff was really nice and the room was clean, for this price I woud choose a different hotel.
I would rather stay in a park bench
p4okg4on 30/03/2012 11:14I cannot say how bad this hotel is. I have stayed in cheap hotels and have been ok-ish. This is a terrible terrible hotel.
Broken bed which meant you had to climb during the night. Next to the busiest train line in koln which goes all through the night. Decor is probably early 70's and I do not mean it is retro. It is old!!!! And original! Tv has no signal. The only thing going for it was the cleaning lady was really good. I would rather stay in a run down hospital than this place!!!! If you go here be warned! It is your fault if you do!!
terrible hotel
cribetton 09/03/2012 08:08Stayed at the ARS Vivendi for business travel. The hotel is old, the decor the same but it is not clean and the staff was and the reception closes at night so you need a key to enter, close the fairground by train. Bad service and bad rooms. The staff was terrible.
