Colinlb1on 27/07/2017 15:32Love the fact that Richard is such a relaxed fun guy to talk to. Nothing was a problem. Enjoyed every moment of the stay. Great View and very comfortable and clean. The complex is on a hill. But Richard offers a great service to and from the train station and taxi drop off areas.
Like a Swiss army knife
davep230968on 21/12/2016 11:42Our host Richard was very hospitable and enthusiastic. Location was a short uphill walk from the center. Close enough to one of the main lifts. The room was warm and cozy big enough to sleep three. Kitchen had everything you needed, tucked away in drawers and cupboards all packed away yet ready to use like a Swiss Army knife.

Claire Con 06/12/2016 11:59Dont bother looking for other places to stay-reading reviews and comparing. Just book this place and you will not regret! Owner-Manager was always accomodating, very helpful and funny! You have everything you need in the kitchenette if you wish to cook. I had no problems with the bed. Bathroom is great- floor was warm!
We shall return!

Very nice stay in Zermatt
Andrew Mon 30/09/2016 16:52We really enjoyed our stay in Artist Apartments, the manager Richard was very accommodating. We were originally given an apartment style room (out the back and a bit musty smelling but could still see Matterhorn from patio) but changed to tho more usual hotel style room with ease. The hotel style rooms in the main block all seem to have 2 single beds that fold out from the wall. The bathroom was quite ornate and the kitchenette was suitable to prepare a basic meal if you don't feel like eating out.
The view was quite amazing as we could lay in bed and see the sun rise over the Matterhorn (wow).
It is a bit of a hike from downtown 15mins walk from the train station but only 5 minutes from the nearest bunch of restaurants and 5 mins to the Cablecars to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
We got picked up from the station and dropped off on departure but otherwise just walked around.
I would stay here again.
