Not a good option
Desiderias Aon 25/08/2017 21:49The hotel doesn't deserve the 4 stars it has, instead it's more like a 2 and a half stars hotel. The room is strange, there is a window between the bathroom and the room itself. The closet is hidden in some structure that includes the table, so you need to slide the table to open the closet. Toiletries are given by default just for 1 person even if the room is for 2 people, so you need to ask more to get some. The furniture is old. The breakfast is very poor and rather expensive (15 euro per person), but we had to buy it as there is no other option available in the area. The hotel is located in a business building, there is nothing cosy about it. The location is relatively ok, 15 min walking to the center. All in all, I would not stay here again.
Poor, good to avoid

- broadband did not work, I had to use 3G on my cell to get internet connection
- room dirty, black stains on curtains, old/cheap furniture that must be 30 year old mdf
- main light in bedroom flickering on and off, clearly faulty, no one bothered to replace
- tiny bathroom, floor to ceiling discoloured mirrors to try and make a matchbox look like a cigar box
- staff not very friendly
- food in restaurant served cold, might explain why a restaurant for seating of 100+ had NO ONE eating
- beer served warm, sent 2 attempts back
- flies (several) in restaurant & bar area, not a clean place
Definitely won't be staying there again, do unlike the many other German hotels I stayed in
Good location
Netti78on 19/07/2017 18:36The hotel is neat and clean. The rooms are interesting, the Wi-Fi is working well, and the bed comfortable. The location is great, just a short walk from main attractions. Breakfast can be added for 15€ per person, but there are alternatives available nearby for less. Parking is not included. At check-in, they suggested to park the car in the parking garage around the corner, which charges 14€ a day. However, down the street, you can find street-side public parking for only 3€ a day.
Good hotel for business trip
Patrick Bon 27/06/2017 18:43This hotel is a good option for a business trip, which seems to match the fact that most visitors I saw were suit-and-tie. The room are large enough but not too luxurious. The bathroom was fine and clean.
The location of the hotel is something to check carefully. You are close to many tourist attractions but you may be far from e.g., the university and MPI areas, so check and be prepared to go by tram.
Breakfast was fine.
All in all- worth the money.
Good option in Dresden
Ian Gon 23/06/2017 11:26Distinctive hotel located about 10 mins walk west of the Zwinger in a quiet part of Dresden. Two S-bahn stops from Hauptbahnhof (or 25 Mon walk). Hotel is spacious with lots of prints and sculptures decorating rooms, corridors and public spaces. Rooms relatively large and are designed in a more fun style than your average mid price hotel, especially the bathroom. Clean and well equipped. Very good breakfasts with wide choice.
